Josen-ji Temple Weeping Cherry Blossom

It is a weeping cherry tree of about 300 years old, blooming in the precincts of the Jodoji temple of an old temple built in 1615. During the Edo period, the ninth priest was reportedly brought home from Kyoto, bringing back the saplings from Kyoto. This cherry tree is designated as a natural treasure in Miyazaki Prefecture. In the evening, it is illuminated with light and it is very beautiful.
