We had a really nice relaxing day at that park despite the 40 degree temperature! We feed the ducks, turtles and fish in the lake, had a few drinks, ice cream, cheap prices, play a little baggamon under the shade and after a little more walk we made our way back home!!

When we visited this beach a group of 8 of us, we had the entire beach to ourselves. The beach is quite a long drive pretty much on the border to North Cyprus but worth the drive as Pomos is absolutely lovely and so was the time that we spent on this beach. The waves are quite big on a windy day and the beach does have small stones which can be quite annoying, but it is a beach after all and the investment in a good pair of water shoes is definately worthwhile.

If you take a walk along the Nature Trail in Old Kakopetria then as you meander down the River you will come across a beautiful area set aside for Pinics or a stop to take in the Natural Beauty of the area. Tranquility personified and sit awhile to enjoy the splendour of the rushing River Water and simple peace & quiet. Perfect.

I read many bad reviews and make me feel sad because people they don’t know and they don’t ask to learn. The Melios Zoo Park is created by the owner because of he’s love for the birds and animals. All he’s life he spend it to take care this animals. That’s why is not a huge place (i saw smaller in my life) with sometimes smaller-average sizes animal/bird cages. But designed in such a way that we will not miss out any animals and easy to access the places. The information of the animals is provided at each location and the safety measures are taken to avoid accidents. About the review that i read for the high temperature and that the animals are suffering, come on, we live in Cyprus. Everywhere in the island is hot. Melios Zoo Park didn’t have penguins or Polar bears so why they wrote that animals are suffering :) its animals and birds that came from Cyprus or countries with the same climatologically situation. Highly recommended for everyone.
