This time I attended the half day jewellery class - Mr Iwan and his friendly assistant made my class informative, comprehensive and easy to understand. With their help I created a simple silver ring with the sand-paper texture and 5 little granulated balls for decoration. Ketut, who manages the studio, served a beautiful morning tea with love and a visit from the beautiful & warm head designer Ness completed my visit. Make this part of your Bali adventure - you will not regret it!!

Visited here on our last morning in Bali and we were glad that we made the effort. Dikar our tutor was amazing, he was so positive, helpful and kind. We felt immediately at ease and though we weren't skilled at wood carving he made us feel like our efforts were good. Even though we had a couple of mishaps with some overzealous carving resulting in turtle legs being lost Dikar assured us it was fine and that he could fix, he helped glue back together the mistakes and was kind enough to help us out when we felt completely useless! Dikar made it seem so easy to carve (I imagine his 35yrs of practise helps over our 35 seconds) and when we found it frustratingly difficult Dikar just patiently reassured us. We had a wonderful day and would definitely return to another carving class when we next visit Bali!

I did my YTT-200 ( yoga teacher training )with Power of Now Oasis 2 days ago and I cannot simply put into words what I experienced but I will try my best to do a detailed review. I was very careful choosing course provider since I had a bad experience 5 years ago with another course provider . And I cannot thank god enough I chose Power of Now Oasis . The beautiful bamboo studio is just few steps away from the beach. So natural and open . Every day you hear birds chirping and you are looking at the beach while you practising . At the opening ceremony we met head teacher Sandeep , Krishna amd Menik. They were so open hearted and warm. And right then I knew I’m safe and in good hands. It felt like home. They’ve given us all the course materials and schedule for the next 4 weeks. Their Schedule made a huge part for me in deciding to choose them. It is made so well. You start every day at 7am and before 5pm you always done for the day with half day on Saturday and off on Sunday .You have long breaks for breakfast and lunch. And all time favourite Yoga Nidra lesson right after lunch where you get to lay down and meditate to recharge yourself for the last lesson of the day. Just imagine starting your day with mediation at 7am and the sacred cow Angelique mooing oustide . It doesn’t really get better than that. Sandeep was a true Master at teaching us philosophy and mythology as there is so much to take in, in just a month . He made it so simple and easy for us to grasp it and memorise. His asana lab was one of a kind . I have achieved in my own practise so many new asanas and progress doing things I’ve never been able to do before. The girls at the reception are so kind and always helpful . You can purchase freshly made juice and healthy breakfast every day. Even for lunch you just order from restaurants and they organise and bring it to shala so you don’t have to waste time going out and looking for something to eat. Everything is so well organised . Also while you having your lessons there are public classes held at the studio downstairs so it doesn’t feel as if you are in somewhat school. You get to meet people from all over the world and connect . What really surprised me was how much the management put in extra for us to do. We had sailed on the boat to watch the sunset , had bokashi therapy, Agni Hotra, dinner made by head teacher and movie night , and the dinners or graduation therapy was just delicious . Also massive point for me was that Chris the owner supports the orphanage kids. We had a privilege to spend an evening with these kids to have dinner and hang out with them. Chris supports the orphanage so part of the money you pay for the course goes towards those beautiful children. And we actually had a chance to teach our first yoga class to public ! What an experience that was . It will stay with me forever . Having people to come up and thank you and give you feedback . Want to thank all the beautiful people that came and held that unforgettable space for me to be their guide. One gentleman in particular called Mat. Thank you for your kind words and energy .
