Skying Holiday with young children
Reviewed By Vibinium1950I was not looking forward to skying. However, it turned out to be one of the best holidays ever. The hotel is 3 star and is good. However, everything else is excellent. The food is wonderfull, the service is exeptional, and the staff are marvelous. I also had 2 incredibly good local wines, a rose' and a red. It is positioned about 100 meters from the entrace to the slopes and could not be more convenient. I would recoment this hotel to everyone and in particular families. We are already looking forward to going back. Marco

It is the first house born on the Pianoro di Campitello Matese, built in full respect of the local architectural tradition, it is a charming rural home where to spend a holiday immersed in nature more alive than ever. The small building is surrounded by a coniferous forest of over 30 thousand meters. It boasts an extraordinary location because the entrance to the rooms of the Rural Residence can be reached directly on skis, while the entrance of the structure is connected by a tree-lined avenue to the new square of the resort which is just 50 meters away.
Great little family-run hotel right on the slopes and amidst the woods
Reviewed By vpotiGreat little family run hotel in a lovely location, great for skiers who want to enjoy the mountain and the snow. You can get back to the hotel without taking off your skis, which for me is great. The room was a little on the small side but nice and warm (also a big plus for me). Also, there is no lift and so we had to walk up two flights of stairs to get to our room, which was ok for us but might be good to know if you don't like stairs. There is also a cosy area downstairs by the bar with a nice fireplace. Ah, and last but not least, you will eat divinely! The chef is simply amazingly good. There is also a remarkable choice of gluten-free dishes, which my wife absolutely loved. She is coeliac and has had very bad reactions to food in many other places. But here she just loved it, just like the rest of us. What's remarkable is that they do not actually advertise their gluten-free cusine, but they do offer it and it's great. Finally, the staff are really all great and the owner is both professional and welcoming.

Reviewed By pennyg60I stopped for lunch and I cannot fault the quality of the food, and although sufficient for me the pasta portion was small. I only had the pasta, then a green salad and a plate of cheese, with a glass of wine, and a coffee. The price was 30 euro which seemed a bit steep for what The service was excellent so no complaints there

Nice location, mediocre hotel
Reviewed By Rosinni19The hotel is in a nice location, at 1600 m altitude, surrounded by mountains. It is an old fashion hotel with old structure and furniture in the rooms. The rooms are quite small as well as the bathroom, with average quality bed. The room had a bad smell of old furniture as well as cigarettes smoke (even if it is non smoking, the smell is still there). Internet connection is poor and it didn't work for 2 days even if we told the reception about it. Good breakfast with quite many options.
