Reviewed By MN2300Hotel Bel Sit is located in a small town right next to Lake Maggiore. We had a superior double room with lake view with a nice little terrace and the ability to walk right out to the larger terrace with sun lounges. Beautiful view and the room was very spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and you could sit outside and enjoy it. There is also the option of some snacks during the day, but there is no evening service. There are not a lot of restaurants in walking distance, but we were only there for 2 nights, so we managed. It is a very quiet setting, perfect for relaxation as there is not a lot to do. The hotel has a small parking garage which does not cost extra. Would definitely recommend for a short quiet break or as part of a road trip in the northern part of Italy as we did.

Reviewed By 120bennettdMy trip there was in 2013-2014 the same staff is there today i keep in contact with them regularly as i intend to return just for old times sake .i stayed there for 7 months . the staff was very helpful willing to assist me with my needs , medical pharmaceutical, directions ,train information , waterway taxi, bus information , taxi ,anything i needed they were very helpful . we actually had a dr come when one of us was sick and the staff made that happen .as for the restaurant the same chef is still there today very good not fast food and the prices i thought were inline with the quality not disappointed in the least be sure and visit the local grocer and meat market and shops nearby you wont be disappointed i will visit again Antico Verbano

Reviewed By KristofferG74A place of true Agatha Christie charm. Just beside the lake, this hotel and its staff will give you the nicest of times. It’s a bit worn through the years but it has kept its charm and magic. The multilingual staff is as good as it gets and the restaurant gives you an Italian cousine with international touch. Absolutely in my taste. All the marble, the silver cutlery and the cheer size of the place make you think that Hercule Poirot would be as happy as ever here. And if it’s good enough for him - it’s good enough for me!

Reviewed By BethesdaTraveler99My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at A Casa dalla Tata. We highly recommend it. Our room with adjacent bathroom was spacious and beautiful. Letitzia thought of everything we could possibly need - bathroom amenities, slippers, visitors' pamphlets to attractions, and even welcomed us with a bottle of wine, bread snacks and biscotti! The room was refreshed everyday - which you don't always get at B&B's. And the breakfasts... Wow. Best spread we've ever had - savory to sweet, small cakes, cookies, puddings, pastries and quiches, bread with cheeses and sausages, yogurt with fruit, coffee - a lot of it (all of it?) homemade. It's enough to just eat breakfast and loll on the patio looking at the lake all day. We also enjoyed chatting with Letitzia and the other guest couple at breakfast, so that it was hard to leave the table and get going. Meina is about a 20-25 minute scenic drive from Stresa. On Letitzia's recommendations, we had fabulous dinners locally (one within walking distance, the other about a 10-15 minute drive). We preferred not staying at Stresa - after the hustle and bustle of Stresa with all the tourists, it was nice to leave it all and walk up the lane to our cozy pied-a-terre.

Reviewed By Miss_cbakerWe stayed here for two nights and the family B&B was perfect. Clean, friendly and comfortable. Nothing was ever too much to ask and the hosts were extremely helpful with Restruant recommendations or any queries we had. Would highly recommend this place too stay everything was perfect. Would defiantly go back and stay. Breakfast was lovely too. Nearby lakes were beautiful.

Sitting on the windowsill with the windows open, listening to the sound of the lake and watching the sunset was fabulous. The pool was clean and the views were great, the staff were friendly and the room was clean. Sleep on the sofa bed and wake up to the lake views....AMAZING. Walking to town was a little scary as the road has no pavement, and there’s a bit of a lack of cutlery and kitchen utensils, but these are the only negative points about the property.
