Went with a group of 7 ladies ranging from experienced riders to riders with no expeirience. Vicky was amazing carefully selected horses to suit each ladies comfort level. Absolutely fab trek on the beach, definitely a top expeirience in Westport with croagh patrick in the back drop, scenery is breathtaking! Vicky and her leads brought a bit of craic to the hour long trek, great value for money and a truly memorable experience

Go!trekking! Equestrian Holidays Ireland

A gotrekking equestrian holiday is a unique opportunity to go horse or pony riding in one of the most natural unspoilt coastal areas of Ireland. Located in the West of Ireland, in the middle of the Wild Atlantic Way, the longest coastal trail in the World. We are uniquely positioned to offer the best beach and mountain trekking, upon home bred and trained horses and ponies. Our packages can include accommodation and horseback riding tours together, seeing some of the most historic and cultural sites that the majority of visitors to Mayo will not be able to view, but on horseback we make it easier for our guests to experience.

I recently visited Westport with my family and I decided to go horse-riding on my last day , I do lessons so I had experience , Michael was very helpful and suggested a beach ride , when I arrived to the stables I was put with Maguire the cob , he tested us out in the arena to see if we would suit. Maguire had such a timid nature and I could tell he was very well treated. We then headed off to Murrisk Beach and the views were unreal. I was put with Sophie who was very well trained and so friendly , we walked over the deep sand and then galloped on harder ground. I enjoyed every minute of this trek and I recommend to anyone who has an interest or even just for the day.
