There are quality, fairly-priced souvenirs both large and small, all skilfully handcrafted by local artisans, so by purchasing their goods, you are really helping to support and empower the local community. I left with a stunningly elegant bag made by a Kazakh artisan and a gorgeously colourful zip pouch upcycled from decorative wall hangings. I also had the most wonderful conversation with the founder/owner Irene and learned a lot from her, and found the rest of the staff all very beautiful and kind. My visit to Mary & Martha truly left a smile on my face, and I could not recommend them highly enough.

The artwork and paper mache masks were over the top fabulous. Fascinating to take pics of the outside of the temples with the modern skyscrapers in the background. We pretty much had it to ourselves. Very mellow peaceful place to chill.
