Fitz-Ritter is a renowned Palatinate (Pfalz) wine estate that has been in the Fitz family for nine generations, since its founding over 230 years ago. One of Germany ’s oldest sparkling wine (Sekt) productions is also part of this family operation. Fitz-Ritter was the first winery we visited while in Bad Durkheim and it was a lovely experience! The hosts were very welcoming and explained the background behind their wines and sekt. We were able to taste many different wines and went home with bottles of the Riesling Halbtrocken and the Flaggerturn Riesling: our two favorites!
