Krabi (Thai: กระบี่, pronounced [krā.bìː]) is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand, on the shore of the Strait of Malacca. Neighbouring provinces are (from north clockwise) Phang Nga, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Trang. Phuket Province lies to the west across Phang Nga Bay. Krabi town is the seat of provincial government.

This is bay is a stop on the long boat tours that go around the island. It's beautiful. As good as Maya Beach I think, and you can still get in and swim and go up on the beach. great place to hang for a couple of hours.

Simply beautiful island, While snorkeling saw clownfish (think Nemo!) swam with Sharks, sea turtles and a myriad of tropical fish. Walked along some stunning beaches. Got climbed on by Monkeys... so much to do in one day. Your experience will be impacted by your choice of tour operator. We (family & I) booked through Mr Chet Longtail Boat Trips and couldn't recommend him highly enough. You can message him and book through Facebook. Half the price of our resort-offered trip, but a longer trip with more time at more places, great deckie (Don) who was knowledgeable, helpful and funny as hell! Plus, the way our itinerary was laid out we got to places before the crowds meaning we saw more - and we saw a LOT! Truly fantastic day.

This is one of the best experiences in Koh Lanta. Our guide was great and showed us all the tricky spots. I would suggest you be in decent shape for this. There are some very tight spots and it is somewhat challenging. It is a great trek through the jungle and the cave is seriously impressive; spiders, bats, crickets and impressive cave formations. Just awesome!

From the pier across the Riverview Hotel, you can get a longtail boat driver to take you the ten minute or less ride up the river to this site where there are three caves. As of this writing, they generally want 600 baht for the trip, so if you can get four people, they will be glad to wait for you while you see bats, (bring a flashlight), monkeys (maybe bring bananas if you dare) and camera to see the spectacular caves (3) of which two are open at both ends to let in light and ventilation. There is a pier on the opposite side to the site which presumably is the terminus of a walking path from the road. The river is about 75 feet wide and slow moving. I did not measure the depth, but the current is slow. For those wishing only to pay the 30 Baht site admission, without the 600 Baht boat ride, with a wet bag, I think it is possible to swim or wade the distance from the pier, although I didn't do it myself.

Phra Nang Beach is the most stunning Beach that I've ever seen, with soft sand, clear shallow water for safe swimming, huge rocks for climbing, two small islands, a coral reef and caves, Phra Nang has all the ingredients of a perfect beach. That's really imaginary. Imagine! There was a Beach with fresh shallow water which was surrounded by tall Cliffs & massive trees that created pleasant shadow on Beach in a hot day. Some reefs and caves and a temple were near the water and the most interesting thing of all, there was a rock formation that formed a roof-like structure over some parts of the water. And a panoramic Landscape at the entire Beach & Some far away rocky islands on the sea were visible. Although it seems almost unbelievable, but this place exists in reality and it's called "Phra Nang Beach". From Ao Nang Beach or Nopparat Thara beach, longtail boats taxis can take you directly to Phra Nang Beach. Journey time is over 10 minutes. Phra Nang Beach & Cave can also be accessed via West Railay. On the edge of Phra Nang Beach, a cave has been dedicated to the princess Phra Nang. According to legend, Phra Nang was the wife of a fisherman who was lost at sea. She lived out the rest of her days in the cave, awaiting her husband’s return. This is also the place where the Thais sacrifice if they wish to have children. A very small temple filled with men's genital organs is one of the most attractive spots in Phra Nang Beach.
