Reviewed By 53businesstraveler69I stayed here for two nights. Had a customer in the area and I can say getting accommodations in this area online as a non citizen have been challenging. You choose your breakfast time the night before and have many breakfast options including American-sized cappuccino. You can either have breakfast in your room or down on the pool patio. I stayed in a jacuzzi suite, had good air conditioning, and a comfortable foam mattress. Look forward to returning at some point with my wife.

Reviewed By Danka ČI cannot find enough words to describe how kind is family, which owns this place. Rooms are clean and cosy and there is a big bathroom, wifi ... In the morning, owners make you amazing breakfast and are helpful in absolutely everything. Finally, for last 5 days in Italy, we had problem to find someone, who spoke English, but these owners speak perfect.

Great and Friendly Hotel
Reviewed By TheIronsI booked Hotel America at short notice as our original hotel in Pompei was a disaster, my wife and I stayed in the suite which was superb. The suite had an incredible sunken jacuzzi bath, a walk in shower, a private bathroom and a huge comfortable bed. There was also a private entrance to the garden and pool area. The room and the rest of the hotel were spotlessly clean, this includes the exceptional pool area which has the stunning backdrop of Mount Vesuvious. The staff here at Hotel America are extremely helpful, we can't speak much Italian and the staff could not speak much English but we managed to muddle through, they gave us restaurant tips and also provided transport via a local chap called Angelo who took us to Pompeii and other places, he was a very helpful man. The location is quite far out, so a car would be a must as this hotel does not have a restaurant. With this thought in mind I would highly recommend Hotel America as a base to explore the area. If you're looking for a comfortable and relaxing hotel with helpful, friendly staff and a fantastic pool then look no further than Hotel America.

La mattina ti svegli con la cucina piena di prodotti fatti da lei...cornetti, torte, frutta e tante prelibatezze che non trovi nemmeno nei migliori alberghi 5 stelle! Consigliato anche per la vicinanza agli scavi e al santuario.

The listing is however somewhat misleading, firstly with the sumptuous breakfast pictures which don't reflect reality. Secondly, all the coffee and kitchen facilities are in a nice common room, not in the individual rooms. The cooking facilities, stove, fridge etc are excellent in case you don't always want to be eating in restaurants. Thirdly, only the "Vesuvius" unit has a small en-suite toilet/shower, and a balcony with view of the mountain. The "Family" room has an adjoining private bathroom accessible through the hall - only a few steps away, but not en-suite, and a large covered outdoor terrace overlooking the back. Both units have a large bed plus a single bed, with air con/heating. Good experience overall, but best to understand what you're booking!
