Reviewed By anastasiak595We probably have stayed at Villa Belvedere 5-6 times, and we will come back again. We already visited at every time of the year, and we love it every time. The nicest is of course in summer, when you can enjoy the huge pool, the gardens and the barbecue. Perfect location, always impeccable clean rooms and wry pleasant hosts. Now they also offer a delicious breakfast with fresh pressed juices, self made pastries and good coffee! Thank you and see you soon!

Fantastic place
Reviewed By Soren_OdenseHighly recommended. We stayed here for 3 days with kids. The pool area is very nice, and was never crowded. Free water and ice cream by the pool. Good breakfast and nice and clean rooms. And all of the staff are so nice. Ask in the reception for dinner recommendations- they really helped us find and book at places we’d never have found.

san leo residence can be found in the heart of the tuscan hills in the chianti valley, your time with us will be spent in a beutifully restored medieval hamlet with 9 different apartments of various types and sizes, from two up to six persons. you will soon acclimatize to the relaxing atmosphere found here, full of cultural and gastronomical interests. the hamlet aslo offers many farm's products such as olive oil, honey, different kinds of cinta senese's salamis etcc. which can be bought and tested in the farm's shop.you can also see the firm's farmyard animals and cinta senese pig breading area, as well as join our guided visits to the modern and old oil pressing mills and honey laboratory.

Reviewed By X23YMjanekI cannot believe the property here - the vistas - the hospitality of the host and the amazing food we had - breakfast was fantastic - imagine individual pans of eggs, creamy eggs, followed by pastries, homemade crumbles. Lemons galore on property! Infinity pool spotlessly clean ! Grounds to walk and comfortable beds. The assistants on property for meals like Sabrina were so attentive! We bought all the toiletries that were supplied in the units because they are really beautiful. It took a while to get used to the internet connectivity issues but once you understand the hot spots - you are all set. i miss San Leo every day not there!

4/5 beautiful apartments in farmhouse with large pool in Figline valdarno, Tuscany, Italy. Superb private grounds set in 15 acres of Tuscan countryside including olive groves. Despite its quiet location “I Gelsi” lies centrally between important art-historical places of Tuscany: Florence 25km, Arezzo 40km, Siena 60 km, and is within easy reach of the A1 motorway. The nearest town is Figline Valdarno 3kms away, a lively small medieval town with an attractive weekly market, an excellent supermarket selling local produce and plenty of medieval attractions and festivals. In Figline you will find all amenities including train station with frequent direct trains into Florence (travel time 20 mins).The well-known Chianti region with places such as Greve, Gaiole and Castellina and its fine wines, lies not far from the house.

Reviewed By melb0urnegirlOur multiple stays over many years are testimony to the title of this review, I Gelsi really is a very special place that you will find yourself dreaming about once you are back to your real life post holidays. You will recall vividly the sweeping Tuscan views across the valley from various parts of the property including the expansive terrace where you might have enjoyed an evening prosecco, or the pool where you had lazed all afternoon in one of the plentiful and comfortable sun lounges. The self contained villas have everything you need and you are close enough to town to buy any supplies additional to the starter pack of essentials already supplied by the generous hosts. Each villa also has its own outside area making it easy to enjoy your own in your private Tuscan villa experience if you choose yet allowing you to meet up with the small number of other guests staying at I Gelsi. If you are lucky you might even be staying on a night Enza does her famous pizza evening - a great chance to mix with the always interesting and eclectic mix of international guests that are drawn to the uniqueness of I Gelsi.

Reviewed By andreaobermayrI travelled alone and felt like "at home" at le vecchie mura. francesca and her staff made my stay a feel-good-experience from day one to the end. she is very flexible, rooted to the soil and helpful at any time in any case, if possible. the room and Service was far more than what i paid for. in a 5-star-hotel i couldn't have felt better. very recommandable also her homemade breakfast, which she prepares with lots of love and harvest from her own garden. won't be my last stay at le vecchie mura!

Great value and near outlets parking and AC, fridge and good shower

It is next to the big D&G outlet and also near the Mall - cannot fault the value. We were travelling with our 9 month old baby and she provided a baby cot. Very clean rooms and everything was great. This is a steal and also very safe. great garden with swings and birds and a little fountain. She has dogs and cats that are lovely too.

Reviewed By Dirk3eThe outside wall of this room with the inkt window is in the road side with ( heavy) traffic passing at three feet distance. Therefore the window cannot be opened. The front door is in the zitting area, where the third bed is located. Even if you would be willing to leave the door open at night, which I do not advice as anybody could come in drom the street, fresh air wil not reach the sleping area. Of course the airconditioner did not work. The sliding bathroom door makes so much noise that you cannot use it. You hear every move of the guests in the adjacent room and over your head in the room om the first floor. The furniture is bric a brack. The restaurant was not in operation. Still they charged € 145 excl city tax for us and our adult daughter.

Reviewed By VpsteveGood stay ..made better by the restaurant in the villa also part of the estate which is located further up the hill We were looking for a country hotel within driving distance of a midday flight back to the Uk from Florence. Simple style but has all the necessities. Breakfast at the motel makes this a special place. Friendly team .. the bedrooms are simple but cover everything. Staff are very freindly but the hotel is only manned for check in and check out. Personally a check out time of 10am was a little early but small observation. Very peaceful.
