Modern, clean and nice hotel in unbeatable location in Egna
Reviewed By SpielenHotel opened about 5 years ago. Nice and simple, modern furniture with straight lines which still looks new. Spotlessly clean. I had a well-sized room with a balcony overlooking the main pedestrian street in the very heart of Egna which was enjoyable (absolutely no noise from outside though). Good quality, firm mattrasses and pillows. Service was good. Management tries to please you whenever possible. What I missed was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. But I have to add that you can get coffee in the breakfast room from 6am onwards so it’s not an issue. Good price for the quality you get. Will come back and can definitely recommend.

Reviewed By Frank NWe experienced friendly service, nice clean, spacious rooms and a good breakfast to complement our short stay on our way back from a Holiday in Tuscany. I can definitely recommend this for families. Our daughters loved the place. Btw Wilma is flexible with check in times as well (we had a late arrival).

Reviewed By Richard NVery nice friendly place, clean, well situated, friendly. Egna is beautiful town, will definitely return here. Had to leave early and they cancelled our last night with no charge. The staff speak Italian, German and some English. Breakfast is continental with eggs cooked any way you want!

Reviewed By Ashraf2012Every thing you need for good sleep in quite town, nothing fancy but go if you like simplicity. If you are expecting room service and fancy lobby don't go, it is one nice family are taking care of the hotel and they are doing their best to satisfy you. No internet in the rooms but there is WiFi in the lobby area. Breakfast was ok.

What a disappointment...
Reviewed By cloinkWe were traveling to Italy and whilst looking for a place to spend the night, this seemed like a very nice hotel: the photographs on their website showed nice, modern rooms! It was a little more expensive than the others we had found (think 200 EUR for 2 rooms / 5 people), but hey, it was surely going to be worth it, right? WRONG. We arrived a little later than expected (we had to drive +1000km and were about half an hour later than first expected). On entering the hotel: noone at the desk. So we went to find the owner, who we found in the kitchen. He knew of our party (yay!), but said he had no rooms left in the main building (noo...). No worries, as he had another "house" 200m down the road. So we hopped in our cars and drove 200m. Parking was an issue there, next to the busy road, which was a problem, seeing we had 2 cars to park. When we finally had managed, he showed us the most dreary rooms I had ever seen in my whole life (and trust me, I have seen quite some hotels). The bathroom was also outdated and even had some used samples of bath products. Classy! To top it off, I (1m98 tall) could not fit in any of the beds... I - unfortunately - was too shocked to take pictures, it would have said more than a thousand words. We shrugged, a bit in shock, but were hungry, so decided to go back to the main hotel... After risking our lives to drive back (cars were parked in a blind spot on a busy road, right in the midst of a 90 degree bend), we hit the final straw: the diner was fully booked, so they went and prepared a picknick table/bench. Also, the food looked abysmal, non-fresh buffet style. We talked to the owner, telling him that this whole ordeal was unacceptable and that we demanded a solution. He sighed and told us that he was fully booked and that there was nothing that he could do. We ended up looking for another hotel nearby, which we - luckily - found rather quickly. After we told him, he said he was also already calling other hotels to help us out, so I don't think he's of bad intention... I'm afraid I would not recommend this hotel to anyone...

Reviewed By ginacskaWe were there with a group. The accomodation is correct, their food is fine. We had a great time there. The owner is a sweet and very kind lady... Oh, and the guys working in the kitchen are Hungarian: they are just briliant. :)
