Family Stopover on Way Home

Reviewed By ole20Warrington

Overnight stop on way home from family holiday. Check in and check out staff all very helpful and pleasant. ANPR check in screen explained by staff on arrival, even though we had a very tired little boy who just wanted to get to bed, which ensured we will not get a fine. The bedroom was clean and spacious, and the main bed was king size so plenty of room for 2. The double sofa bed fine for our child (Aged 9) however if this was being used by an older child (I.e. teenager) they may find this uncomfortable as the bed is camp bed style. Tea/ coffee making facilities available and hairdryer in room along with toiletries in bathroom. All round we would use again.

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Good facilities available (although we didn’t have time to use the pool, unfortunately!) and the breakfast was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff, very knowlegeable about the area. A great place to use as a base for exploring this part of the West Country.

Gorgeous location with lovely friendly staff.

Couldn't fault this hotel. No wonder they are booked up for weeks ahead! Very friendly and helpful staff although they work so hard as the hotel is so popular. Lovely bedroom and everything spotless. Although we were front facing we weren't disturbed by the road noise at all. The food is fantastic. Menu changed each day that we were there. Their chef really knows what they are doing. We also found a beautiful rose wine produced fairly locally. The French need to look out! Thank you all. We had a marvelous break.

Fantastic stay

We stayed at The Stables as a party of 9. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and has lovely decor. The hosts have added lots of little touches to make it really special, such as dog biscuits, coffee pods for the machine, hairdryers in all the rooms, the badminton set, and a large choice of board games. The kitchen was really well stocked with good quality crockery and cooking implements. Our children loved the wide variety of animals around the place, and being able to roam the large gardens in safety. The welcome pack was very welcome, with eggs laid by hens in the garden, and local bacon and farm milk. The cake didn’t last long! The high standard of fixtures and fittings made our stay really enjoyable. Indoor and outdoor space has been really well thought out. This is a lovely place to stay, with lots going on nearby to entertain. We would definitely recommend.

Family break

Reviewed By 894sallyl

We are here now and having a lovely time, we booked one of the premier supreme lodges right at the back of the resort which is absolutely spotless and has everything you could possibly want, the hot tub is lovely, can not fault anything about the lodge itself or the swimming pool in the complex, my only complaint which is why I dropped a point is that the complex closes so early, we were having a drink and the kids were enjoying a game of bowling when we got told at 8:45pm they were closing, why so early ? There were plenty of people still sat down and kids playing outside on the park, it’s a holiday park and should be open until at least 11pm, there isn’t anything to do in the evenings so if your looking for entertainment etc this isn’t for you, saying that we have had a lovely time and maybe in peak season things are different and open until later x

A great spot for our anniversary weekend!

Reviewed By Explorer731954

We enjoyed our weekend here in Primrose Lodge. The bedroom and bathroom was lovely, and the decking area with hot tub and sun loungers was perfect. The only slight criticism I’d have is the lack of touches like a pint of fresh milk (not important for everyone I know) and maybe some hand soap in the bathroom would have been nice. But overall, a really lovely place to stay

Gorgeous stay

Reviewed By alisonjY5236YO

We have stayed in this camp site for years. We love the position in cheddar. We love this camp site and how it's run with by Tracy and David . We have stayed as campers,in their caravans, pods and now the Bunk house. It really is comfortable and spotless. It has a gorgeous patio area to enjoy the sunshine. The lounge and bedroom is a comfortable size. Whilst there is no kitchen there is enough space to prepare basics with a toaster, microwave and fridge. The toilets are along the way. With covid being an extra visitor this year...we witnessed the team thoroughly cleaning all the apartments and caravans. There are signs and hand gel provided. There is a system for the shower to prevent overcrowding. This is definitely a place to find peace.
