One of the best Luxurious beach front & well spread out property in Kerala, Beautiful & spacious rooms , Pool villas & a fab Malabar 4 bedroom suite with a huge private pool (superb is the word ) lot of things for kids & adults to stay entertained from cycling to Kayaking , PaintBall , Zip line , Activity room , Huge pool to dip in & chill ,One of the Best Jiva spa to relax with amazing therapies & get Rejuvenate ,Back water cafe serves some amazing Delicacy’s , Breakfast spread is Grand with lot’s & lots of choices , ivory Bar serves some amazing cocktails, The best thing about this property is its Team.I would like to mention a few names without whom this holiday wouldn’t have been so special Amit Singh (GM ) very courteous & humble , he himself welcomed us & gave us a brief about the property , Shiju Nambiar ( Rockstar ) he went all out to make our stay so so comfortable & making sure we r having a very good time. Manu , Gopikar, supari From front desk for making our checkin & check out real smooth, back water cafe - Sharan ,Sadath, Pashupathi, Sujay, Rupali, chef Mani, chef maity ,Akshay ,ajil , vaishak P & Vaishak U, , sumod, Sukesh, Abhirag, Vivek ,Arun , Akhil ,Sreejith,Chitra gave us an amazing service & served us yummy food.Arun - House keeping , Deepu , Bharath & divesh frm ivory. I must have missed out a few names but I would like to thank & appreciate the effort made by whole team of Taj Bekal for going all out for making our holiday very special , also for making my Birthday celebrations a super one to remember.guys u all nailed it , we have some beautiful memories to take back home & will look forward to come back to Taj Bekal soon :)

Good location and no management
Reviewed By AckzelGood location no management, we came to check in at this property at 5.30 pm and there was only the security guy to check us in. He was a good man, the rooms are good and the receptionist who came the next day was good, there is no restaurant and on proper management, we stayed for 2 nights and the first morning when we woke up there was no water in the tap when I tried it at5 in the morning and only the security man at this property and he told us the connection from the well was broken and we got water only at 10 in the morning so our whole tour itneary went for a toss. Breakfast was very basic but the people who served us were very nice. You cannot call this property a resort it is near to the Bekal fort and very green so the price the charge for what they provide is too much

Stepping into this venerable old house, one is transported into a bygone era and the old lifestyle of the landed gentry in kerala. The house has been built in the typical style of the hindu tharavads of kerala with plenty of aesthetically carved woodwork. The wide and beautiful lobby for gathering is truly a great piece of work. The rooms are well furnished and retain all the charm of ancient family house, with red oxide floor. Ultramodern bathrooms ensuited all bedrooms. The vast tree shaded grounds have a variety of tropical fruit bearing trees like the jackfruit, mango, areca nut palms and coconut groves

Reviewed By RavhyBhatThis property is more than 100yrs old and was earlier known as Chandralayam.The heritage house within it is nostalgic. The Uniqueness of Chandralyam lies in its location. Its so close to the proximity of all places of interest. and yet so far cocooned in the coconut plantations away from the mad crowd of the city. .At the beginning it may look little difficult to find the place, but once you do that... and get into the property it is enough to melt away your fatigue after a long drive. This traditional Kerala house with the hospitality of Mr. Anoop and his small team will make you feel at home. A morning walk around the large compound, the sounds, sights and smells all of them makes it an awesome experience. The Breakfast and all foods you get here has a kerala touch, which cannot be compared to any five-star affair. Its an experience worth making!!!
