Reviewed By Philippe2003The place is beautifull with a large pool, view on the tree plantation and mountains. But what we particularly liked is the gentleness and friendlyness of the owners family. Highly recommended! The last day we were very late (11.15) and they just re-prepared breakfast for our family... Never seen such an attentionated service before!!

Antique guarding tower from the XIV century. 4 Rooms and one suite, inside and outdoor restaurant basicly with biological food. Nine hectars of green ground at disposition of the clients who like silence, relax and slow food.

Needs a little more work on the practicalities
Reviewed By PhthaganThe Susafa is situated in a remote and beautiful part of Sicily surrounded by hills and stunning wild flower meadows. It is I suspect, set up to cater for couples having a short break away from it all. The setting is wonderful and the Masseria has lovely gardens and a stunning pool. The staff are very helpful and friendly (many are on summer placements) though occasionally it was difficult to be understood. We never did find out if there was a possibility of a room safe for valuables, though to be fair, security so far out wasn’t really an issue. WiFi reception was good. We stayed in a junior suite for a week. The accommodation was very stylish and quite comfortable - though it would have been much better if there had been a chest of drawers to unpack into . The single clothes rail and seven hangers looked good but wasn’t enough for a week. Living out of a suitcase in quite a small room was not quite what I had envisaged. There was also a long wait for any hot water. In the shower room. Much as I’d be happy to conserve water as requested, the fact you had to run the shower for several minutes before it was even tepid rather negated my good intentions. I also think that the ‘loft ladder’ was potentially a bit of a risk if you were elderly and a bit unsteady as there was no handrail. Going down it in the dark in the middle of the night (going to loo without disturbing a sleeping partner) was a bit hair raising. Last ‘even better if’ was the dinner menu. It did not change at all for the whole week. There were four soups, starters, pasta dishes and mains. The latter were all meat-based, so it would have been even more limited for vegetarians. Being a somewhat captive audience, we became a bit bored with the options by the end of the week. I would have thought that providing an additional evening ‘special’ wouldn’t have been beyond the capability of the chef and would have added to the variety.. The breakfasts were wonderful and to be fair the quality of the meals we ate was usually high.. Bit of a mixed review I’m afraid. The owner was charming, the staff helpful and the setting stunning. Just needs a bit of fine- tuning on the plumbing and evening catering. We look forward to returning to Sicily next year.

Superb hotel in a beautiful location

The location is stunning, particularly for anyone interested in nature. Nightingale, Turtle Dove, Golden Oriole, Bee Eater all seen and heard from my balcony. The evening meals were also delicious! Thankyou to all the staff!

Reviewed By RocirauloIf you like an old world feel to your B&B experience, this is the place for you! The people who run this place do a great job making you feel at home. Prices are reasonable. The garden is so picturesque The cats are friendly! The entire town of Polizzi Generosa is an experience not to be missed. The streets are as they were 1000 years ago. Polizzi is set high (3009 feet above sea level) in the Madonie Mountains. Back in the day of all the invasions, the city (pop 3500) could be easily defended. Domenico Dolce is from this town and has a beautiful home there. There is a wonderful museum that recently opened that contains artifacts from the different invaders. It is a must see. The town, its churches and its people are all typical of Sicilian country life.

Reviewed By Martina CAfter the first time in August, my boyfriend and I came back again in October this year. We love hiking and Polizzi is a great location close to many walks. Ettore is a wonderful host, attentive, extremely kind, always ready to give you the best advices. We love the atmosphere of the b&b, which also extremely well located and clean. People around is friendly and the village is a little pearl. We will come back again ! Grazie Ettore
