Reviewed By H4574PJedithmWe booked this hotel late in the evening for one night. The personnel waited for us even though we arrived very late in the evening. We and especially our children were welcomed in a very pleasant manner. The room was clean and sufficient. The breakfast was good.

Reviewed By candfholsExcellent hotel which I strongly recommend! I stayed at the hotel for four nights with my Mum as we wanted to go to Terme, both Sensoriali and Piscine Theia, and it was perfect! The location is great, both to go to Terme and to explore nearby Tuscan towns - bus stops conveniently situated outside the hotel main entrance. Food was was very very good, everything is freshly made and the taste is so good! The service was great, nothing was a problem - I have food allergies and great attention was put into the meals which were prepared apart for me. The staff was very friendly and the owners very cordial and hospitable, they made us feeling at home! I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone - much more than a three stars hotel!

If you want to visit the Val d'orcia this is a perfect spot. You can save money and get a great service!

Reviewed By andersellI stayed four wonderful nights with the Gambacurta family´s care. The entire staff is greeting you when passing by, welcoming you for breakfast and dinner and often asks of your day plans. The kitchen serves a huge and varied breakfast buffet, with fresh fruits, daily baked bread and superb coffe of all varieties. The 4 course dinner is composed on local recepies with local produce, meaning you eat yourself into the Tuscan way of life. The rooms are genrous, but a bit outdated, but are planned to be renovated starting next winter. The hotel is great located in Chianciano, parks, the old town, the sports facilities and the termes are in walking distance. The management cares for activities and are very helpful suggesting hiking and cycling tours in the nearby region that offers Chianti Wineries, historic villages and the lovely Tuscany landscape. Just ask for suggestions at the Desk. Chianciano Terme can be reached by train+bus, so you are not car dependant to visit also Firenze, Siena or the Umbrian sights of Assissi or Perugia. I hope to re-visit this lovely hotel and region soon again.

The Hotel Cristallo's renowned cuisine bases itself on wholesome food (various types of meat, poultry, wine, food, oil, honey and vegetable produce).

Reviewed By bobby545The things i like most about Leger Holidays is the wonderful staff and the different types of people that i was able to meet including the tour guides and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, Our 2 Drivers were Paul and Craig and they did their very best to help me and the others in and out of the hotel on or off duty, That being said there are a few points that could be addressed ; 1. The included food , Breakfast the cooked options.processed egg, undercooked bacon, and hot dog sausage, and a toasting machine that didn't work properly, and i witnessed that the so called chef reused what we didn't eat for the next day so by the end of the week the egg had been microwave that much it had started to go GREEN I would not have served that to my neighbours dog, 2 Dinner options; Although everyone have a choice of at least 2 main options a night ,by midweek it seemed as if they didn't care for us Brits ,for example,[a so called candle light dinner] , as soon as the other hotel guests left the dining room all the lights went back on , the upstairs bar in the Hotel Cristallo wasn't open for us at all , only by chance was it open because other groups from other tour companies were staying for a few nights, and by thursday the chef seemed to be reusing the veal that was supposed be fresh in at least 3 other dinner meals , so by Friday night no one was looking forwards to our last dinner meal provided by Leger .

NOT A FOUR STAR WORTHY HOTEL !!!!
Reviewed By Xin F1/ This is a FOUR STAR Hotel, but only worth THREE STAR ! 2/ One (of the two) Elevator is not working 3/ Breakfast is served with DRY CAKE and OLD BREAD from DAY BEFORE (and very little choise on buffet... not continental !) 4/ ROOMS have NO WIFI (or very poor open wifi signal from the hotel next door...) 5/ The pictures on the site are not all correct, the bathroom was OLD and I had to fix the Shower head with a rope to keep it above my head... really BAD !! (room 410) 6/ The whole hotel is OUT DATED and needs a REFRESH, you can see that it HAS BEEN a 4-Star hotel before, but its no longer worth that !!! Please do NOT place it on your site as a 4-star hotel !! You are MIS INFORMING EVERYBODY !! - Go and check for yourself (or send an independent reviewer...) I had a VIVABOX with value 199 € for 2 nights... well those were certainly NOT WORTH IT !!!! (my value would have been max 40 € / night and a 3 star, maybe even 2 star hotel !!!) SOMEBODY HAS TO PUT AN END TO THIS KIND OF SCAM !!! The hotel owner has to EITHER CLOSE DOWN or STRIP THE HOTEL AND RENEW COMPLETELY and STOP selling it as a FOUR STAR HOTEL !!!
