Redemptorist Church - National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

3 pm on a regular Wednesday. At first I didn't even know there was a church here but then I saw people streaming towards it, so I followed. Many people were extending their arms to touch one of the numerous Madonna statues around the premises and there was a service in progress. The floor area of this church is probably comparable to Cologne Cathedral, i.e. it is huge. The floor was packed; people were standing outside the entrances listening to the service.
I've been to Cologne Cathedral, Notre Dame, etc etc, but they didn't prepare me for this, because they were all empty !

Visited this casino with friends mainly for the Fountain show. This Fountain show is the 2nd largest Fountain show in the world. The show didn’t disappoint us at all! It was amazing and mesmerising! Great entertainment and it’s free!!!
The casino itself is an attraction i’d say. The interior is beyond belief and the toilets, the toilets are sssooo clean and very modern! Gives you a taste of Japan .
Alcoholic beverage are served free for those who are playing, they do have a bar as well which is smoke free zone. This is good as gamers are allowed to smoke inside.
Defs a must visit when in Manila. There are shopping boutiques inside the casino too.

There are many different types of small carts/sales stalls. My wife found some household dresses for less than $5.00 US. There were food carts. Had some scrumptious corn here. Crowded here, so be careful with your belongings. We had no issues, but it always pays to be aware.

The mall is far more bigger than SM Sucat. The first I went there, most lease spaces are bare, empty. Eventually, big names of restaurant chains and boutiques started to lease. It makes the shopping mall more appealing to potential visitors. It's very accessible too. Sm offers free 1 hour wifi as always.

SM City Bicutan

Reviewed By Ross P - Beijing, China

SM City - large mall in two buildings straddling a major intersection. The intersection of Skyway, SLEX, West Service Road and Dona Soledad is a non-stop traffic jam- it seems the local team of 10 traffic enforcers see it as a life ambition to make the junction as congested as possible. Public transport is the usual Philippines primitive choice added to the general congestion. The taxi drivers don't want to use meters. The traffic fumes are terrible.
The SM has a reasonable selection of outlets, an adequate food court, an adequate cinema, a few kiddie play areas. Nothing spectacular. A bit dated compared to other malls.

National Shrine of Mary Help of Christian

Reviewed By Nigel G - Singapore

It’s peculiar that trip advisor should choose this listing by this name, although technically it’s correct as per the decree of Pope Benedict XVI on August 10th, 2012, most people regard it as the Cathedral of St Andrew Paranaque – however it does contain the Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso, the diocesan shrine. A commemorative plaque is on the main outer wall of the Cathedral.
The history of Our Lady of Good Success in Parañaque was based on the writings of Rev. Fr. Nicolás de San Pedro OSA, the vicar of St. Andrew's Parish (now the Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew).
The Augustinian fathers brought the image from Spain in 1580 as a gift from the King to Filipino converts. The Augustinians stayed in Palanyag (now Parañaque) and established St. Andrew's Parish that year. The image was left untouched and covered with dust until Catig, a poor native from Don Galo, saw this and asked the sacristan if he could take the statue home. The sacristan obliged and Catig enshrined it in his home, lighting candles in its honour.
The statue is now enthroned on the right side of the presbytery.
The church is very attractive and popular for weddings. There is an altar adorned with Augustinian saints. There are several attractive stained glass windows also.
The church design is framed by two huge massive buttresses balanced above is the bell tower with a convent adjoined.
