Bokek River

This place is absolutely marvelous. Walking in the Mountains and through the water as it streams past you is just beautiful. Nature at its best. One tip: Wear water footwear, as there are many rocks in the water. There are not many safety protocols but rarely are they needed. Fun for the kids as well.
All in all, some awesome views to last a lifetime.

We enjoyed traveling this road! There are several pull offs, which is good as there are so many great picture opportunities. There are desert and hills on the left (if heading north) and the Dead Sea on the right. Loved it! Easy signage to Jerusalem.

A shoddy operation that gets away with poor performance due its world-famous location. Examples: Restaurant closed until 6 PM.
You can go to the lounge but guess what? On this first day of 2018 there are buckets arrayed near the entrance to capture water dripping from the hotel's leaky roof.

Spa at Lot Spa Hotel

Reviewed By catchyginger - Austin, Texas

We were travelling through Israel and wanted to see the Dead Sea. On the advice of one of our guides, we elected to check out the Spa at the Lot Hotel. It was 140 shekels for admittance which give you access to the beach and pools as well as the locker room. The beach is nice and it is easy access to the Dead Sea. It is also nice to have the Freshwater pool options. The locker rooms were small and cramped but at least we were able to shower and clean up before hitting the road. Overall, the facilities are acceptable, but certainly nothing great. The staff is friendly and accessible.
I think this is a good option if you are just doing the Dead Sea as a day trip. It is cheaper than a hotel room and you can clean up when done playing in the Dead Sea.

It was a bit difficult to find the Fantasy Island in the evening, we had to walk along a rather dark path along the Leonardo Club hotel, and guess that an unmarked door was the entrance to this attraction. A "terryfing" film was only 10 minutes long, and our (grown) children reported that the "Horror Maze" was of little horror. People waiting to watch the film can watch the audience on a screen at the ticket counter.

Dead Sea Clinic

Reviewed By Jari R - London, United Kingdom

The magic of the Dead Sea is amazing whatever "clinic" you choose. But this centre needs a big big makeover. For 60 NIS entrance fee I was expecting proper loungers, towels and decent showers and other amenities. Pity as this place had tons of potential.
