Casdoce Honke Kogetsudo Ruoho

Hirado located in nagasaki Japan has been a port of call for ships between the Asian mainland and Japan since the Nara period(710-794). During the Edo periods, Hirado's role as a center of foreign trade increased and the Portuguese arrived in 1550. Casdoce was transmitted from Portugal around 1600 to Hirado, Nagasaki Japan. Nobody had known the sweet before revived by Sanoya Masutoki owner of the Kogetsudo two generations ago in 1953 because it was only eaten by the load of Hirado. Our casdoce has been presented to the Japanese Emperial Court and we won the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at 1st National Confectionary Craft Exhibition for our casdoce in 1953. Casdoce is a registered trademark of the Kogetsudo Roho. Please be careful because there are imitations of this product.
