I did a two day hike. Started the hike in pampa Linda. The rood to the starting point is only open in the morning, to go to pampa Linda in the afternoon you can only leave this rood. Narrow rood. In the bezinning the hike is easy. After a few km you started climing. It is 15 km to refugio Roca were you can stay for the night. Naar the refugio you can walk to the waterfalls. They are nice. Large refugio. They serve dinner and you can buy a Packed lunch. If you continue thuis hike you will decent rapidly. You will hear the whole time ICE Breaking from the glacier. Really cool. I think you will see 3/4 glaciers, i think it has in Total 8 glaciers but you cannot see them all. After 3/4 km you walk in the woods. Kind of hard lost of trees on the Path. Not an easy hike. I think most of the people need 5 a 6 hours for the 12 km. Really muddy. The last 2 km are easy. Around 4 you have to take a boot then a bus for 3=km and then an other boot and you will arrive hear llao llao. This part is really good organized. When you have bought your boot ticket , boot can be late the rest is smootly. They take care of your backpack in the harbor of llao llao you get it back. Take a warm jacket with you can be a bit cold on board.

wonderful landscape with black Icebergs that have been working hard in changing the environment of Andes mountains. Colour of the icebergs and the lake of this mountain during the sunlight gives a uniqueness to this wonder of Nature. Walking from pampa Linda gives you more time to enjoy the snow capped mountains and will definitely be a memory of once in a lifetime chance.

Take the number 55 bus to the car park (cost 80 pesos on a Sube card). Start hiking / running from there. First 6k is easy along a well marked path through forest. Then it gets a bit more difficult. The last 1k is over boulders and rocks. View at the top is amazing. Lots of rock climbers and sun worshippers. The day we went there was no wind and it was hot. Very pleasant spot for a picnic. It took us 2 hours up and 1.5 hours down (running). A very pleasant trail run. Total distance 19k.

We really enjoyed taking the gondola up to the top of the mountain- it is further than it looks from below! The views from the top are spectacular and there are hiking trails for those who want to explore further, which we did and enjoyed. But the best thing is the 360 degree revolving restaurant that very slowly revolves as you sit at your table so that you can enjoy the views in all directions. We've never seen anything like that! We recommend getting there by 9:30 and you'll be able to walk right in with no lines and the wind is calmer in the morning.
