Lotus Drivers Club visit

I recently stayed at this hotel as part of an organised group - Lotus Drivers Club. The rooms are really nice, especially if you have one with a balcony. The food was excellent although I did feel that the breakfast choices were a little limited. The location is very good and close to most of the major sights. I would recommend a stay here.

A celebratory dinner for a special occasion. We were treated with discreet good manners and none of the self conscious pretentiousness so prevalent today. The food & wine were excellent and the staff lovely which made for a simply superb evening. Thank you for a truly excellent evening. We'll definitely be back!

The Bear

A fun and friendly place to eat, sleep and drink. Our quirky and cosy inn marries 18th century charm with modern day luxury. Restful and stylish rooms, hearty food, fabulous cakes, artisan coffees, local brews and cocktails, breakfasts, brunch, lunch & supper! Our beautiful rooms are all individually designed, and each one is as unique as the famous bears we’ve named them after. They have been dressed with love, and boast super comfy beds, powerful rainfall showers and quirky eclectic charm with all the creature comforts you’d expect to make your stay a home away from home.

parking issues

This is a lovely hotel in great position, lovely rooms, good restaurant and gets very good reviews. We were booked to stay in March. The only issue is the parking. I would advise that before making a booking you check and contact the hotel for accurate information. If you have mobility issues or unhappy about parking in long stay carparks a distance from the hotel and requiring daily morning meter feeding it may not be for you. This was the case with us and sadly we had to cancel our booking.

Kindly welcome, spacious guest and public rooms, serious kitchen. Very good value.

A very pleasant and very reasonable place to stay. Lawrence of Arabia wasn't wrong to frequent it as the staff are charming and the lovely old building has surprisingly spacious and light bedrooms and public rooms. I arrived pre-checkin to unload before a local event, and was helped very promptly and kindly, without fuss. I then arrived back very late in a thunderstorm, needing to check in, called ahead, and, again, was treated so calmly and courteously and my bag was even carried up by the proprietor. This kind of uncompromising welcome is rare in any kind of hotel, and this one gets full marks as a great place to stay.

Twiga House Bed and Breakfast

Situated just a short walk from the picturesque, medieval town of Wareham - a lively market town with pubs, restaurants and an excellent tourist information centre. Twiga House B and B, with off road parking and a mainline train station just five minutes away. 2 en suite double rooms with king size beds and a 2 bedroomed family suite.

Excellent two night stay

Twiga House is located on a quiet road close to Wareham station and a relatively short, easy walk to the town centre. Hosts, Alan and Jane are friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious, well decorated and spotless. The continental breakfast was delicious and more than we could eat. I cannot recommend Twiga House highly enough. Would I stay here again? Most definitely.

Redcliffe Farm Campsite

Lovely site!

Reviewed By whistler71

Arrival details are emailed to you with a code for the gate & the facilities, so you don’t need to actually check in. Once you’re on site the owner comes round to check things are ok and to take the remainder of the payment. The campsite is well laid out and our pre-designated pitch was easy to spot. We were located close to the shower & toilet facilities. The pitches are a very good size with ample space between them, and all the facilities were quite clean. The site has its own slipway which is available to use for a fee & it’s approx 30 - 40 minutes to get to Poole harbour by boat, and maybe 5 - 10 minutes to get to Wareham. We enjoyed our stay at Redcliffe Farm & will happily visit again.
