Family holiday, lovely setting
Reviewed By Laura-NWWe (family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children age 9 and 6) stayed here for 10 nights at the end of May into June, during the UK school half term holiday. The hotel has a lovely setting, directly on the beach. Our room was directly to the side of the reception area, across from the shop, so had a good location for quick access to all amenities. The room was a lot smaller than we had anticipated and the wardrobe / storage space for a family of 4 is a problem - there just isnt enough and no storage space upstairs in the maisonette accommodation. I would suggest taking coat hangers as there were only 5 in the wardrobe and we stored multiple items on 1 hanger. We arrived mid afternoon and were disappointed by the 'snackline' which consists of 2 choices of cake, 2 or 3 choice of biscuits and a few different small sandwiches, together with juice. The exact same choice is provided daily at the 'snackline'. We would have expected different choices for a 5* albeit note that Jet2 etc promote this as a 4* which is closer to reality. The resort is heavily dominated by French guests with an average age of 65. The entertainment was all in French and there wasnt any interest from the female French reps to engage with anyone who wasn't French. The male French reps did make some effort with the English children. The French sat around in large circles in the evening, dominating the bar space. We found this behaviour incredibly rude and divisive and this needs to be addressed. The French wear a red band to show that they are part of the 'clan'. No other nationalities wear this band. The behaviour was bizarre,we described it as cult-like. On the first evening, we took our children to the 'theater' where the French reps stand at the door. One rep said "this is all in French". That was our cue for, 'you're not welcome'. I can speak French at an average conversational level; this they had not considered and therefore I could understand some of what was being said. We did speak with the Jet2 rep at the hotel, who was lovely and was going to look into whether the French have a different contractual arrangement with the hotel that Jet2 etc donot have and commented that this would be a problem to the company if that we're the case. The entertainment was pretty poor, definitely not 5* standard. There were a couple of evenings where there were some Greek dancers and a very good singer but there were no shows and sometimes the entertainment was literally background music and nothing else. Notably there was an entertainment schedule/ board for the French and a separate one for everyone else. There was no evening entertainment listed on the board for other nationalities, however I could understand the detail on the French board, however this sent a strong message that the entertainment was for the French and noone else. This is divisive on many levels. The food in the restaurant was hit or miss. We were excited to be enjoying Greek cuisine whilst away; koftas etc etc but this was not the case. Expect rabbit and pork on a daily basis, recycled food i.e. pork surprise with a different sauce poured on top! We saw koftas and moussaka etc once or twice during our stay. The food is not 5* standard and probably 3* at best, needing immediate attention from the chef and team. We did complain and we aren't complaining types. We decided that on the 3rd night of seeing fish fingers at the kids station, rabbit again and our son coming back from the breakfast bar with a plate of sprouts, enough was enough. Fish fingers are at the kids station every night (our son now refuses to eat them due to fish finger overface) and the kids food station is never open at lunch time. If you're lucky, you might see a few chicken nuggets come out to the kids station. We asked where the pizza's, burgers, plain chicken breasts etc were, these have to be paid for in the payable a la carte on site. We didn't know that we weren't going to be able to eat at these other restaurants unless we paid a charge. We were told by management that we could name what we wanted and they would cook it with 20 minutes notice, which was very good of them. Our boys therefore had a plain chicken breast a couple of nights. We spent a lot of money (over £4k) on this holiday and expected much more from the food here. We went to the quiet pool one day and stayed 30 minutes. The residents around the pool (average age of 65/70 years) appeared like meerkats staring at us as our children were having fun in the pool. I asked my children to keep the noise down and thought what on earth am I doing, we're on holiday, they can have fun. We left and returned to the main pool. The slides are only open 4 hours per day which again we weren't expecting. Please just open the slides all day. Children are on holiday and want to have fun. The beach is lovely but there is a lot of seaweed to wade through. Staff do try and clear it but it's impossible, there's just so much. I'd suggest taking beach / sea shoes. We used the pedalo, payable at the kiosk on the beach, this was fun for us all. We visited the Life Bar next door a couple of times, this was a lovely bar and Taz the owner is lovely. We would highly recommend you visit. There's free pool and WiFi available and great music. We went out to Kavos to eat one evening but returned to the hotel soon after eating. You'll appreciate the hotel on return. Kavos is very run down. The staff are all really lovely at the resort. It's a lovely setting, incredibly clean and tidy but requires some attention to the points I've shared here. I really hope this is helpful. I don't want to deter anyone from visiting but just share honest reflections so that expectations are managed. Not many visitors seem to share posts on here and I was checking this website daily for a month before we travelled. Had our expectations been managed, it may have helped a little. The staff did share with my husband that the balance in the summer is 50:50 French:English in August, whereas 80% of guests were French whilst we were there, 10% English and 10% German and other nationalities.

A lot of care and detail was put into the studios and facilities, and you'll manage to feel at home from the start - of course with great weather and a private beach a walk away with an amazing mountain and sea view. A very cosy stay where it even felt good to exercise at the outdoor gym, cook at home and chill on the couch at the end of a beach day. Yannis and Christos were amazing hosts always thinking about our needs and even surprised my wife with a birthday cake. Location: a 10-minute ride to Kavos you'll be able to enjoy the quietness but go for a drink or food nearby, and in 10/20 minutes you're in any of the nearby places (e.g. Mikro Nisi or Issos). It's a 1+ hour drive from Corfu town. Tips: - Rent a car or scooter to explore around but also for groceries especially water. You can rent at the airport or nearby/Kavos. The place has great parking also! - Book the massages! Jenny is one of the best masseuses we had so far in our trips.

Τα διαμερίσματα μας βρίσκονται στο νοτιο άκρο του νησιου της Κέρκυρας στην περιοχή των Αλυκών Λευκίμμης .Η τοποθεσία τους προσφέρει έυκολη πρόσβαση σε πολλά μέρη και μπορούν να γίνουν η αφετηρία για να ξεκινήσει κάποιος την εξερέυνηση του νησιού . .Οι λάτρεις της φύσης θα γοητευτούν απο την φυσική ομορφιά των αλυκών η οποία ανήκει στο δίκτυο Νatura 2000 και αν είναι τυχεροί θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να συναντήσουν διάφορα σπάνια είδη ,καθώς κάποιες φορες τον χρόνο γίνετε τόπος συνάντησης αρκετών μεταναστευτικών ειδών όπως τα φλαμίνγκο ,οι κύκνοι, οι αγριόπαπιες ,οι γυπαετοι κ.α . Η νότια κέρκυρα προσφέρει πολλές επιλογές σε αμμώδεις παραλίες κολπίσκους και καθαρά νερά καθώς και μονοπάτια για εξερευνηση και περπάτημα . Δημιουργήσαμε το οικογενειακό συγκρότημα Alykes Family resort θέλοντας να προσφέρουμε στους επισκέπτες μας ενα οικέιο περιβάλλον που θα στερείτε της απρόσωπης αίσθησης του ξενοδοχείου . Το συγκρότημα μας αποτελείτε απο 8 διαμερίσματα,τα 4 με δυο δωμάτια το καθένα πλήρως επιπλωμένα ,a/c ,tv , κουζινίτσα με όλα τα απαραίτητα για να ετοιμάσει κάποιος το φαγητο του ,τραπεζαρια και μπανιο .Τα υπολοιπα 4 με ενα δωματιο ,a/c ,tv , κουζινιτσα και μπανιο. Ολα τα διαμερισματα εχουν δικο τους μπαλκονι. Στο κατάλυμα υπάρχει πισινα με ξαπλωστρες οι οποιες προσφέρονται δωρεάν .Υπάρχει επίσης εστιατόριο στο οποίο μπορεί κάποιος να απολαύσει πρωινό,δειπνο και γεύμα κατα παραγγελία .Τέλος μέσα στο κατάλλυμα λειτουργει τουριστικό πρακτορείο απο το οποιο μπορει κανεις να προμηθευτεί εισητήρια για εκδρομές ,να ενοικιάσει αυτοκίνητο ή μηχανη και να παρει οποιαδηποτε πληροφορια θέλει για το νησι .
Attenzione!! Proprietario scorretto e struttura mal tenuta.

Avevo prenotato 5 notti in questa struttura ma all'arrivo siamo rimasti veramente sorpresi in negativo dall'accoglienza presentuosa e assolutamente negativa da parte del proprietario e di suo padre. Ci viene assegnato una stanza che non faceva parte dell'edificio principale dove probabilmente erano presenti le camere rinnovate come da foto postate su booking ma di una specie di rimessa. La stanza fatiscente, armadio rotto con macchie di muffa, lampada rotta pericolosa sia per eventuali tagli o peggio ancora per prendere una scossa elettrica. Porte fatiscenti come le finestre, frigorifero arrugginito in alcune parti,eppoi le foto dicono il resto.....un puzzo di fogna indicibile. Il proprietario ci ha fatto pagare una notte in contanti per l'importo di 61€ dicendo che ci avrebbe preparato la ricevuta. La mattina seguente non abbiamo usufruito della colazione,ho richiesto la ricevuta ma il proprietario mi ha detto che non me la avrebbe fatta perché aveva cancellato gratuitamente la prenotazione!!!! Quindi si è preso una notte e così non ha nemmeno pagato le commissioni a booking!!!!! Proprietario scortese e non realista difronte ai fatti chiedo un vostro riscontro anche per tutelare altri clienti in futuro.

Reviewed By whatsnextehAfter a long bus ride and a 2km walk I arrived early before breakfast. well sometimes one is happy to travel on budget. But then something amazing transformed my holiday. Arriving at this lovely hotel with tranquil sea, achingly beautiful setting, soft sand and enticing jetty was simply stunning. And yes, the accommodation was well worth the effort. I wil return in fact I am just sorting out my arrangements.

Reviewed By Kata013Az ígérttel ellentétben WIFI nem volt, azaz elméletileg igen, de gyakorlatilag nem. Csak emailek megtekintésére szerettem volna használni, de percenként ledobott, ha egyátalán létre tudott jönni a kapcsolat. Ha szemben nem lett volna egypár bezárt, szétesett építmény akkor a parkolást az apartman környékén igencsak nehéz lett volna megoldani. Az apartmanban nem volt se mikro, se rezsó, ezért az önellátást lehetelen volt megoldani. Edény semmi, tányér alig, bögrét úgy kellett kérni.
