A true Tuscan experience
Reviewed By markdavies7764Meet Guido - owner and occupier of this Villa - it has been in his family since 1650 (he has a family tree on his wall). He is 78 but looks 15 years younger (something about the lifestyle here). We checked into our suite, a nice room with a spa bath. The only issue here is air-conditioning if you come in summer. It will be hot as will all the rooms here. Guido cooked for us on 2 of the nights and we drank his wine. We were charged on the way out which could have been awkward except the meals and wine were cheap for the quality we had. (He needs to be clearer over the charges up front). He doesn't speak any English but somehow we communicated well, especially after a few wines. He has a good heart, a beautiful outlook from his front porch, is a good cook and we loved his wine. Issues were the heat and the mystery over the charges but we got great value for what we paid. This is a truly authentic Tuscany experience. A short drive to Arezzo and a little bit further to Cortona, about an hour from Florence.

The Tuscany Resort Occhini is a beautiful Leopoldina villa near Arezzo surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. The villa dates back to the early eighteenth century and has been beautifully restored keeping the original features such as terracotta floors and ceilings with exposed beams. With its rooftop terrace, it is surrounded by beautiful gardens and swimming pool ,solarium areas and a convenient private parking. For this it is also perfect for ceremonies or events. There are also specific areas for smokers.
Lovely Self Contained Apartment In Rural Setting
Reviewed By Peter HThese lovely large self contained apartment with cooking facilities and a large fridge were just what we wanted after spending most of our time in hotel rooms. The apartment is large by Italian standards, with plenty of room to sit and relax, you can even have the foldaway bed/lounge made up for those with a partner who snores Good breakfast- including freshly made eggs and pancakes, plus cereals and pastries, also a proper coffee making machine for those must have latte macchiatos first thing in the morning and freshly squeezed orange juice Great pool with plenty of shade areas to relax by after a busy day exploring the surrounding area Alyshah, our helpful manager - gave good guidance on points of local interest and dining options - unfortunately their restaurant was closed due to the chief having a baby Their are plenty of dining options within a ten minute drive, or visit the local Coop, buy your ingredients and cook at home Cleaning regime could be improved but all in all a great experience

Reviewed By LieskustersWe stayed at Moulin, nice apartment with fireplace. Enough wood to use. The views here are so nice and the village is so small that you feel a villager among the villagers. The host is friendly and the restaurant excellent.

Mooi appartement
Reviewed By Bas645105Met een aparte woon-, slaap- en badkamer is dit een geweldig appartement. Heel erg netjes en sfeervol ingericht. Het appartement ligt buiten het centrum en daardoor is de omgeving erg rustig. Goede parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Helaas was tijdens ons verblijf van één nacht het naastgelegen restaurant niet open waardoor we genoodzaakt waren toch met de auto naar het dorp te rijden.

Great choice with lovely host
Reviewed By ingob57Our room was very clean and there was everything what we needed. The breakfast was wonderful prepared with several choices. Parking was included inside of the building. To the village it takes 10-15 min by walking. The host couple was very friendly and helping us with recommendations to find nice sightseeing places and delicious restaurants. We enjoyed our time a lot. Hopefully we will come back some time.

BAD EXPÉRIENCE
Reviewed By A2483KIfilippomBAD EXPERIENCE my opinion on this structure can only be bad: after 10 hours of traveling with my 9-year-old child in a period of enormous turnout (16 August), to make a stop and sleep one night, after contacting a multitude I finally find a structure available on Booking and make the payment. I get the confirmation code and then I try to call several times from 9 pm onwards but without getting an answer. So I decide to go directly also because it's late and we can't wait to rest. When I arrive around 10.30 pm everything is off and no one welcomes us. I ask a guest to tell me where the owner of the farmhouse is staying. I ring the bell and a gentleman looks out of the window, apparently surprised, asking who I was. I apologize for the time but I explain to him that we were arriving from Calabria, that I had made a reservation on booking with a credit card that I had received a confirmation code. I also tell him that I had made dozens of calls at 21:00 without ever getting an answer ... He calmly replies that he has already given away the room after my booking to another person who had gone there directly! He also tells me that he sent me a message ... in reality I only found out later that he had canceled the reservation but I had not received any communication unlike when I had booked! I tell him that it was not the way to do it and that I needed the room because we were destroyed by the trip and I also had a small child with me. Nothing to do The owner had preferred, also for a matter of higher earnings, to give away the room reserved for me from my reservation and regardless of our need, he closed the window to go back to sleep. In conclusion : First of all I find it incorrect, to obtain a higher income, to give away the room after a reservation received and above all I find it unprofessional not to answer the phone and make a cancellation at 22 in the evening also because no one after receiving a confirmation would go and look on the your booking profile if by chance the booking has been canceled !!

Un'esperienza unica nel cuore della vera Toscana!
Reviewed By fontemurataIo e mio marito Angelo abbiamo passato 4 giorni a novembre nell'appartamento denominato "Il piccolo nido d'amore". Siamo stati accolti calorosamente da Marusca e Gianni, che ci hanno consigliato sapientemente sia i luoghi da visitare che i ristoranti dove trascorrere le lunghe e fresche serate autunnali. Dobbiamo dire che il nome per la casa non è stato scelto a caso. Tutto, dall'arredamento all'architettura, dalle vecchie foto di famiglia al caminetto davanti al quale trascorrere i momenti di relax, trasuda amore per le proprie radici e un senso di pace pervade ogni ambiente della casa. Una vera casa ricca di storia e di ricordi. La posizione strategica per visitare Arezzo, Cortona, Anghiari, il Casentino e non ultime, Siena e Firenze, ha reso "Cappannelle Country House" la meta ideale per la nostra esperienza toscana.
