L’agriturismo nasce dal recupero di vecchi ruderi del dopoguerra nella valle del Tacina, oasi naturalistica per il passaggio di uccelli migratori, tra Botricello e Belcastro. È immerso nel verde e circondato da uliveti secolari e da un enorme pineta adatta a passeggiate. Su richiesta si organizzano itinerari a cavallo. Il titolare è sempre presente per rispondere a ogni esigenza. L’agriturismo offre ospitalità in 12 camere con bagno autonomo e vista panoramica sull’ampia campagna circostante da un lato e sul mare dall’altro. A disposizione degli ospiti una piscina (accessibile sempre) con solarium e una sala con cucina tipica adatta per ricevimenti o semplicemente per cene fra amici. Ogni momento di una vacanza è degno di essere assaporato, ogni momento della giornata dalla colazione alla cena sarà servita al meglio nel nostro ristorante. Legni scuri, un buon vino e prodotti di produzione propria dominano la sala del ristorante. Una serie di tipici menu accompagneranno la vostra vacanza. Il ristorante è aperto tutta la giornata ma è particolarmente consigliato per una cena a lume di candela magari a bordo piscina.

From the 3 nights spent there, 2 nights they had Parties, so you cannot sleep because of the loud music. The owners should decide if they would like to have a place for people to rest or to make party

Reviewed By SMax3x7With pleasure I again recommend this wonderful place after my latest superb experience. The Villa is now much better and roomier after the latest extension. Needless to say that this young landlord loves what he does. I would hope that he would expand this lovely business and open more locations throughout town. The location is great, the rooms are more than ever clean and sanitized, the food will make you want to clear your wardrobe and shop for a larger size. Thumbs up We look forward to the near future and our next stay at La Villetta.

We were also able to check out later than the usually advertised time, which benefitted us greatly at the time. We would definitely use it again if visiting the area.

Reviewed By sm98012Our intent was to find a place to stay halfway or so on our drive between Alberobello and Tropea. Finding La Casa di Botro was like striking gold. Situated in the small town of Botricello, this agriturismo was a joy for us to stay at. (I should note we were the only guests at the time.) The building is renovated and well maintained with lovely grounds. The facility does do parties and the occasional wedding. Offering 1/2 dozen rooms plus a few apartments, the accommodations are clean and comfortable and spacious. Each room comes with beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler if you wish to utilize their private beach, which is a ten minute drive away. Or you can go to the pool which also has a jacuzzi. The food was excellent! Using primarily the crops grown on their farm or locally sourced food, the dinner menu was amazing! With selections of fish or meat and prima plates that were original and delicious. The wine list provides a selection of wines from Calabria and they are quite good. But the breakfasts! Pastries, omelettes, fruit, meats, cheese. We had to stop the staff from bringing more food out! The staff here was really quite wonderful. Luigi, the manager, was exceptional! He not only provided us with a better route to get here on the morning of our trip, but also suggestions on sites to see and places to eat. We absolutely recommend this agriturismo!

The company covers many acres and produces cereals, vegetables, olives and citrus fruits of different biological species, more than one color for all seasons. Here you can deal with an original setting where everything is at your fingertips , from the sea to the hills , leaving the ecosystem as space chestnut and oak forests and the pine forests of the Sila Piccola , reaching Villaggio Mancuso and plans Buturo . Very close to fine beaches and golden Botricello , a few kilometers from the protected marine area of Capo Rizzuto , from Pietragrande and Soverato . So within 15 km from the farm you can find fine beaches and golden , thin and red , with rocky cliffs. The structure , which dates back to the thirties and originally used as a barn and home of the settlers , later became home to rural school , situated on a hill surrounded by olive trees. It has 5 self-contained apartments for a total of 16 beds. The apartments are fully furnished with rustic furniture , are all equipped with bathroom, well equipped kitchenette and air conditioning , WiFi and LAN , WIFI also present in the terrace and pool . The farmhouse offers its guests various facilities , including a swimming pool and a rooftop sun deck surrounded by greenery, a bowling alley, an area for archery , fitness trail with tools at the end of the route (More information on farm site , which lists various offers)
Excellent place to stay !
Reviewed By Paul TWe visited this agriturismo back in september 2016. It is a very pleasant and quiet place to stay, in the middle of the Calabrian nature and hills. There's a limited number of rooms making it a rusty place to stay. The room had airco and space enough for us (2). The breakfast is typically italian though the waitress was very friendly and always prepared to adapt content (eg providing you an egg as well). The diner was again typically italian and so well appreciated by us. If you go to the Calabria and certainly if you stay somewhat away from the hyper touristic places, you love the italian way of life and the habits of the excellent kitchen they have, this agriturismo shows it fully in the dinner they serve. Except 1 night, we have taken the dinner always outside of the house since the weather was excellent to do so. The view from the terrace in front of the building, both during the day and in the evening (during the dinner) is magnificent. Btw, you have this same great view when you are in the swimmingpool as well ! So if you are looking for a quiet place to spend some days when you are in Calbria and want to taste the excellent kitchen as well, you should pass by here ! Friendly welcome by the owners and a very friendly waitress are other positive things to point out.

Handy for the beach but rooms and food not great
Reviewed By RobMortsMarina del Marchese is a large beach resort just outside Botricello near Catanzaro. The beach is lovely as is the sea. The service from the multitude of staff was great, they are all very friendly and most of them speak excellent english. Unfortunately the resort is let down by the rooms. Our double room was simply two single beds pushed together, meaning in the night you found yourself slipping through the crack, as it were. The shower cubicle was small and dirty. There was a camp bed in the room which we used to store our suitcases until one day a member of staff turned up to remove the bed! When we stayed there wasn't too much to do in the evening except drink at the small bar (no cash - you have to buy tokens). The inclusive food was so-so. The salads were very nice but the pasta and the meat dishes weren't very appetising. The 'free' coffee was surprisingly terrible. All in all, if you want a cheap week on a quite beach then this is the place for you. Just don't expect a busy nightlife.

Antonella sempre presente in struttura e attenta alla pulizia delle stanze, Gianluigi premuroso, cordiale e molto simpatico, colazione con torte tutte fatte in casa da loro SPETTACOLARI Buonissime ! Cosa dire delle stanze, a parte il fatto che sono tutte nuove e che io addirittura sono stato il primo cliente di una stanza, ma che MATERASSI!!! Neanche a casa mia ho dei materassi così importanti e buoni, sono altissimi credo un 30 cm, ma che comodi che sono, e questo significa tanto! Dopo una giornata di mare o in giro per la bella Calabria, arrivare in hotel trovare una stanza pulita e un bagno brillante dove poter fare una bella doccia e poi rilassarsi su un OTTIMO materasso... Cosa si desidera di più da una vacanza? Non sottovalutate la posizione, isolato dal paese ma a 5 minuti a piedi, e a pochi metri dal mare, dalla mia stanza ogni mattina ammiravo il mare, CHE SPETTACOLO! Complimenti al bravo Pino che ha creato un hotel di lusso nella piccola botricello, complimenti ad Antonella per le buone torte e complimenti a Gianluigi per l'ottima gestione di questo grande hotel, avanti tutta Gianluigi, il sand hotel ha tutte le carte in regola per decollare e non fermarsi più! P.s. Ci vediamo l'anno prossimo, ho tanto da vedere nella bella Calabria! Il primo cliente della 10
