8 History Museums in Kobe That You Shouldn't Miss

January 24, 2022 Enriqueta Cusson

Famous for its luscious beef and crisp, pure sake, the Japanese port of Kobe is a thriving metropolitan city with an international feel. The sake-brewing season runs from October through April, and that's the best time to take a tour of a kura (the Japanese word for brewery). Visit the Hakutsure Sake Brewery Museum year-round. Naturally, the nightlife here is prime perfection.

So i did a sake Brewery run were I went to a few breweries in the Kobe area. The reason I liked this one was the museum (which has English audio and on signs) was quite good, but the customer service was fantastic! They had an English speaking staff member there and we had a great chat about sake and wines in regards to the differences and similarities of fermentation process among other things. I loved the passion they showed for their craft and it shows in their sake (which is great by the way), they were also super accommodating with the tax free side of things (I did buy a bit and if could I would have bought more).
