Snowdonia Riding Stables

Reviewed By Flaire_d - Manchester, United Kingdom

Had an amazing time! I’m an absolute novice whilst my partner has had some previous experience riding. I was super nervous but the instructors where fantastic and really helpful with tips and advice for when my horse (Jaycob) thought he could stop for a grass snack at any given opportunity haha. I felt more confident as the time went on! It really exceeded my expectations and we would definitely do it again! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a different experience whilst visiting wales :)

You haven’t lived until you’ve slept on a portaledge on a cliff face in beautiful Wales! This experience was run by Sam - our awesome guide and one of the nicest blokes we’ve met - for my girlfriends birthday. After we arrived at the set up spot, we were able to do some rock climbing (neither of us experienced, so totally fine for beginners) and had a walk round the area which was beautiful. We were them lowered down to our ‘bed’ and fell asleep to the sound of the waves below. Whilst it’s a terrifying concept, you feel weirdly safe after a few mins and Sam showed us how it was all secured so you know how it works. Can’t recommend highly enough for a crazy, unique experience!

Pant Du Vineyard

Pant Du Vineyard and Orchard is situated on the stunning slopes of the Nantlle Valley, Snowdonia, North Wales. The vineyard and orchard has been planted on the south facing glacial slopes of the valley, at the foothills of Snowdon. Pant Du is a family run cafe, shop, vineyard and orchard business. With spectacular views of the magnificent Snowdonia mountain range to the North East, and panoramic views of the sea to the West, Pant Du is an idyllic location to enjoy the spectacular natural beauty Snowdonia has to offer. Since producing the first bottle of wine in 2010 the company has established a reputable name for themselves in producing award winning wines, and high quality cider and apple juice. The company's latest venture is premium still and sparkling Bottled Water. The project arose back in January 2013 following the discovery of spring water under the land at Pant Du. Visiting Pant Du Vineyard and Orchard is a great experience for the family, for local and tourist visitors alike, as pd is the first commercial Vineyard in Gwynedd. Or why not organise a group visit to Pant Du, and take a guided educational tour around the vineyard and orchard. Come and visit us and see our vines and orchard for yourself in this scenic part of North Wales. We have driven past this place, and been impressed with the scale of the estate as indicated by the outside walls. This time we visited, and were very glad that we did. The gardens and woodland are extensive, and somewhat unkempt, which gives them a faded charm. It is remarkably easy to get away from other people, and we found that by judicious use of the map we could see every inch of the paths in a full afternoon. The architectural follies are not really our thing, but added to the character overall. The house is looking sad, and is fenced off with ugly metal panels, but this is not the fault of the country park. It does not detract from what is a very enjoyable visit. Highly recommended.
