Bradford Playhouse

Art Deco Theater and Vintage Bar set in the heart of Little Germany in Bradford. Home of the best late night live entertainment. Bradford Playhouse is a diverse Theatre venue, offering a wide range of different environments and Theatre spaces. From intimidate acting venues, all the way to a grandiose Theatre stage.

On first impressions of the Playhouse I thought it was very shabby and run down and in dire need of National Lottery funding. The bar area was interesting......more shabby than chic. That said, the warmth and friendliness of all the staff was really nice and I was impressed how they took particular care and attention to people with mobility issues etc. The pantomime itself was excellent, great cast especially Buttons who gave Billy Pearce a run for his money. The drinks in the bar and ice cream in the interval were very sensibly priced I thought. I thought it was really lovely that the cast were down in the bar after the show posing for photos etc - a really lovely touch. I only booked my ticket a few days before the show after reviews from work colleagues and I am really glad I went - a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

We are so lucky to have our very own theatre in Bingley. Went to see Alan Ayckbourn's Absurd person singular last week. The sets were excellent, the play as good as many professional companies, and every seat has a good view of the stage. Acoustics very good. There is a bar if you want refreshments. Unlike many other theatres the price is very reasonable. There was plenty of parking near the theatre. We will definitely be back.
