Yorkshire Trike Tours

See, feel and experience the Yorkshire Dales like never before, being chauffeur driven onboard our Boom motor trike. We are a family run business and the whole of the Yorkshire Trike Tours team being passionate about trikes and the Yorkshire Dales. Interesting, Yorkshire has been voted as the 3rd best region in the world to visit during 2014 by the Lonely Planet Travelers Guide. So when are you coming to Yorkshire? When you do, let us show you around! Your tour includes live commentary throughout, via the on-board intercom through to the helmets. Your chauffeur Jason has a very impressive knowledge of the Dales, plus he knows all the best places too. Triking is like no other experience; it has the freedom and exhilaration of a motorcycle, with the safety and comfort of a car. When you are on a Yorkshire trike tour you are part of the environment, not cocooned in a bubble, as you would be in a car.

Just got home after a weekend stay here for my daughters hen do. The farm is in a beautiful country setting of rolling hills & panoramic views of the Yorkshire countryside. The accommodation was absolutely fantastic very spacious, amazing open plan layout with great tasteful decor. The kitchen had everything you would ever need, large open plan comfortable living room and everywhere underfloor heated. The whole building cosy and warm all the time. The beds were very comfortable with crisp white linen & all bathrooms fully tiled wet rooms with all facilities. We also had 2 outside hot tubs great relaxing time we had in these sipping our Prosecco brilliant!!! The standard of cleanliness gets top marks!!!! Our activity time was lead by Laura she explained the plan-of action & important health & safety instructions. We split into 2 teams and headed off. We herded sheep, tractor driving, pig herding, welly wangling, egg throwing and an obstacle course!! What fun & laughter we had it really was a thrilling fun few hours in the fresh air and great to be able to sample farm life!!! Great BBQ was prepared for our arrival back from the farm, sausages & burgers from the farm were delicious!! Clearly a lot of thought effort and determination have gone into planning this Farm Adventure business and the hosts are so friendly well organised in ensuring you have a fantastic stay whilst enjoying your luxury accommodation. We all were blown away with the whole package. Thanks for exceeding expectations we had a blast!! We will be recommending you to others without a doubt, we would also love to come back!!

Theakston Brewery

T&R Theakston Ltd is one of the oldest family breweries in Yorkshire and home of the legendary Old Peculier Ale. Visit this historical brewery in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales town of Masham. Experience first hand the craft and skill that goes into brewing our beers, the brewing process is built on almost two centuries of tradition, passed down through five generations of the Theakston family.2013 is a very special year as not only are we celebrating the 186th year of our company's foundation in 1827,but also ten years since we bought the brewery back from Scottish Courage and once again became a family owned independent brewery. Have a pint of our legendary beer in the Brewery Tap - The Black Bull in Paradise, names after the original inn, the Black Bull, where Robert Theakston first brewed our legendary ale and also the site where our brewery stands, once known as Paradise Fields. We always have six differnent Theakston Ales available on tap including our famous Old Peculier served from wooden casks. There is plenty to do and see including the Cooper’s shop where the cooper crafts the wooden barrels – one of the last remaining working cooperages in the country. Leave plenty of time to browse the gift shop full of ‘Peculier’ souvenirs and other Yorkshire delights.

Brilliant ice cream (including one safe for the dog!) A lovely outdoor play area for the kiddies and if it is raining on your visit there is also a great indoor play area, with a viewing area of the calves! A really great attraction but the best bit for me was the vast range of lovely ice cream flavours!

Marfield Wetlands Nature Reserve

Reviewed By 521barbaraj - Bellerby, United Kingdom

For anyone who enjoys nature this is a fantastic place to go. Lovely walks and lots of wildlife. There are three hides all with padded seats (!) from which to watch the wildlife and the views of the surrounding countryside are superb. Lots of information cards to assist in identifying the wildlife. Several feeders full of bird food at each hide so lots of birds. Reed Buntings, Nuthatches, Long Tailed and Willow Tits were amongst the rarer species and lots of Blue Tits, Great Tits, Robins, Blackbirds and Chaffinches. We were also lucky enough to see two Roe Deer. Several lakes where we saw Shelducks, Oyster Catchers, Herons, Lapwings, Curlews and Teal. As the Reserve is maintained by a volunteer all donations will help to make this a great place to visit. Free parking.
