Called Sørlandet, Norway's South Coast is known for its rocky coastline, its whitewashed houses and its idyllic archipelago. This warmest area in the country draws many resdents for a summer holiday. Kristiansand, the biggest city here and fifth-largest in all of Norway, has many lovely beaches, a very good zoo (Norway's most visited attraction) and a number of historic buildings. These date from the period of the city's 17th-century founding and are located in Posebyen, the old town area.

Xland

Xland in Kristiansand is one of the largest indoor climbing parks in Europe. Xland activity park on Odderøya in Kristiansand. Inside, there are 9 climbing courses in different levels (Low and high-altitude obstacle trails), 15 meter high climbing wall, free fall jump from 13 meter, climbing grids, 3 zip-lines and much more! Xland har its own cafeteria with local, healthy, Norwegian food. For visitors who just want to eat or watch there is free entry. Xland is perfect for children and families, as well as youth and grownups is search for adrenalinkick. The park is not dependent on weather, and is perfect for a rainy day. Open every day: 12am to 8pm.

Klatreskogen Grand Park

Grandpark is an highwire adventure park for adults and teenagers over 140 cm. The climbing forest is situated next to Mineralparken, another fun family park. The trees in the forest are more than a hundred years old and right next to the river Otra. Grandpark has 55 different activities, all of which are built into the trees at a height between 4 and 8 metres. There are 6 ziplines, with four that is crossing Otra and each is approximately 200 metres long. The view from the treetops is stunning, and the location of "Klatreskogen" is without doubt an area of outstanding natural beauty. Each participant must undergo a compulsory 15- minute safety course prior to starting the session. New session every 30 minutes, duration between 1,5 - 2,5 hours. There is several instructors in the park who will ensure that the saftey rules are obeyed as you move around.
