Rattling Brook Falls

We stopped here for a picnic before getting back on the road. The picnic area is nice and clean and the river empties into the bay. There is a covered area and a small playground area as well.

Bakers Brook Falls

Reviewed By webster09 - Calgary, Canada

Just about 10mins north of Rocky Harbour, this hike is just before you enter the campgrounds. Small parking lot. Very flat and easy walk including boardwalk over boggy meadows, and some forest and variable vegetation and forest areas. The last 10mins to the waterfall do have a number of wooden stairs on the path. They lead to another set of steps that you take down to a viewing site at the foot of the falls. If you stay on the path for another 5 mins there is another view of the falls without the steps. The river and falls are beautiful and move very fast! Enjoy a snack, a seat on the bench and some photos before heading back. This part of the trail is a bit muddy-but what else do you expect when you’re out in nature! On the way back we did the moose exclosure detour-definitely shows the difference moose make on the vegetation! It took us 1 hr there, and about 75mins back with the detour. It can get quite crowded on the oath which can be annoying for the narrow boardwalks. There are a number of information boards along the path.

Barachois Falls Hiking Trail

The walk into the falls is not difficult and the trail is well maintained - some crushed stone and boardwalk sections. Lovely benches and a picnic table at the base of the falls are a great spot to rest and enjoy the view.
