Reviewed By Salocin DI have last came here back in 2008 when it was renamed Meritus. it was good and almost a 5 star standard hotel of that era. The breakfast spread was great and everything was there. However visiting it recently, the main building is under renovation and basically the function halls have been converted into shops. Not sure what is going on under new ownership that has changed the name back to the original. The breakfast spread has also become pretty standard continental fare. The buggy service is too slow until we could find a shortcut to walk to the reception building across the street. The rooms have also gone a bit lower in standard with no more bathrobe. However there are adequate towels and decent enough still. Unusually the wardrobe and luggage rack are integrated into the bathroom and the bathroom can be seen from the outside front window. So be sure to use the blackout curtains. Conveniently there is a water pipe just outside the room to wash off any sand or dirt before entering. In-room meals have relegated to basically some kind of KFC menu. On the whole, the resort is undergoing a huge transition and very not sure what will happen to this historic place.

It’s nearby Lassie a place and cafe for dog and cats adoption. This villa is equipped with a pool , Nam restaurant and free wifi . I particular choose the white frangipani room that has a single bed for my girl. What I enjoy the most about bonton is the Netflix, the wooden tub and also the friendly service from the staff especially Syamir that served us. When we arrived at bonton, we get to unwind with a glass of wine. Wow ? that is amazing Would strongly recommend and comes back again as I feel relaxed and feel so cosy just chilling around the sun deck area. Not noisy and you will be surrounded by nature and breath in cool refreshing air

GREAT LOCATION BUT HOTEL NEEDS ATTENTION
Reviewed By zahasvatHotel is perfectly situated in busy tourist hub and on the beach. Close to many restaurants and holiday shopping shops. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel needs an upgrade. Dark and dusty. The aircons in the rooms did not wok adequately. Rooms were not cleaned thoroughly. Breakfast was limited. The trainer chef made a decent omelette.

Reviewed By kakacrackrGot a good deal on Agoda, especially during this very low season with lockdown in the Klang Valley, so got the whole resort for myself. This allows me to stay in the best room the resort has to offers which is Room 198. It's the only room that's facing the beach/sea view. Arrived early at around 10.30am and was immediately given the keys to the room, which was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious with all the amenities you'd expect..anyway, this is not a Marriott so keep your expectations low and you'll be fine. The resort itself is tucked in a beautiful garden surrounding, but maybe in the near future the construction of the unwanted luxury condo next to it will affect your stay. Pls check before booking. Due to the construction hoarding of the condo and nearby upcoming Parkroyal, the beach is quite inaccessible to the public, which means guests have the beach for themselves. I spent every morning and evening on the sandy almost to myself, save for the occasional anglers and visitors. Overall, a very nice place to stay and enjoy the beach without having to break the bank.

Reviewed By AlepzoWell... let me start off with the positives - there is AirCon. Ok now for the negatives - The place is like a 1950’s rundown motel. The towels had stains on, the bedsheets were covered in hair by the pillows and did not smell fresh. The walls and door are paper thin so if you are staying in one of the outside rooms you can hear cars and the Muslim church speaker throughout the night. There was dirt on the walls and the bathroom I felt cleaner going in than coming out.... Safe to say I’m glad we only booked one night. Get me out of here!!!!
