Short trip to Scafell

We stayed here as we were hiking up Scafell. Perfect location. The room was fantastic. Bed was very comfortable. Everything you could wish for. Very clean. Barbara was really helpful during our stay. Always making sure we had everything we needed. Recommend a place for lunch after we were back from climbing Scafell. Ate dinner here and the food was really nice. Pudding was the best! The beer garden is lovely. Perfect place to stay! Can’t wait to come back!

Great Overnight Stay!!

Reviewed By TomAnglesey27

I stayed here with a group of friends as we were completing Scafell Pike the following day. We arrived pretty late (7pm) as we had came from Scotland, on arrival we were greeted nicely and we enquired about a table for 8 people which was swiftly arranged for us. We ate and I can honestly say it was some of the best food we have had, really really good choice on the menu and great quality! We spoke to one of the staff members (Giles) who told us we would be leaving before breakfast but he arrange for some packed lunches to take with us on our hike the following day as all the shops were shut too as it was bank holiday. This was so kind and we was all very grateful for this! Had a quick drink at the bar and bed. Rooms were lovely, very modern and spacious, with a good amount of plugs for charging appliances etc. Beds comfy couldn’t have asked for much more really! Overall one of the best stays we’ve had when travelling!

Perfect secluded getaway

Reviewed By emmacM1537LN

Claire was an amazing host. The yurt at the paddock was peaceful and secluded with all the amenities imaginable. The bed was very comfortable and the yurt warms up in no time with the help of the fire and heater. So many nice little touches such as games, hot chocolate and biscuits and much more. Great value for money and I would 100% stay again. Can't rate enough.

Just signed up just to write this! Am a local and a regular in the hotel, the staff are amazing, Vitalija Natalie Jake and Rachel who work there are all great and really do try there best, the last review from Lisa is a fake one and not to be taken notice! Locals love this place, if Lisa could give a date and time as the bar has cctv am sure you won't as its just a nasty review. Thank you
