It is okay

Reviewed By 258marjanp

The rooms are kind of okay. They are cleaned everyday and that is not a problem. The drainage in the bathroom needs to be fixed because i had to wash my teeth with pauses so i don't overflood the sink. The most hypocritical think is that the owner doesn't allow room smoking but he smokes at the reception. I would say its close to the city centar but you could walk across the city for about 20 minutes.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice atmosphere

We had a very good time at the Sunset Hotel. Some of the things we loved most about this hotel were: - the comfortable and clean room - the balcony with furniture where we could have a nice glass of wine and admire the sea view - the dog friendly policy. We could bring our dog, Snoop, with us and everyone was so nice to him! - the free parking available (sometimes finding a parking spot in Ouranopolis is tricky) - the outside terrace where you can have breakfast or spend some time durring the evening - the pleasant atmosphere - Brian ❤️

Clean hotel

Reviewed By Dan T

I spent only one night but the hotel was clean and decent in term of space. My room was a bit smelly (naphthalene) but I was fine with it. Not my first option but I recommend it. The hotel has a really small pool so not the best option for a longer vacation.

We had 9 days at Nikos and Marily`s place on the main street of Ouranopoli and so far this was the summer brake we would love to repeat (usually we like to be at new place every year). Everything is close by- the boats, the beach, shops and restaurants. Nikos was always ready to answer all we asked, even some history of the village :-).Rooms are very clean, serviced daily-love the smell of fresh sheets and towels. Fridge is bigger than any other place we`ve been to with freeze camera where colod water were put for us, there is kettle and nice big hair dryer. The main issue there is parking which will be no problem from next season as Nikos and Marily will have their own place for customers. Thank you Nikos and Marily for the unforgetable experience we had at your lovely place and see you soon. Greetings from Nina, Nikola and Nicole :-)

Bad Hotel! Schlechtes Hotel!

The hotel was dirty and the furniture were broken (table, commode, shower, toilette, waste pipe). The owner Evangelia cleaned only two times in 10 days. This is deffently to less. The breakfast wasn``t inclusive in the price. Because in other hotels breakfast is allways inclusive in the price. Needs renovation.

A NIGHTMARE STAY! THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER BEEN!! EFIALTIKO!!

Reviewed By George E

With a lovely professional ‘glossy’ site it easily makes you think that you’ve got the right place to stay. But, as we experienced, that’s until you arrive there and stay your first night. Everything kitsch outdated and of cheap quality to start with. A very unpleasant smell coming from…god knows where. Rooms small enough and packed with cheap outdated furniture that often makes you walk sideways! Old air-condition units that are placed directly above the beds so that you won't use them I presume...possibly for the business to save money on energy (?) and you ending up boiling on your bed. If you use the air condition you will possibly freeze to…pneumonia. If you want to open the doors for some fresh air and a good night’s sleep you can't because there are NO mosquito nets and will possibly spend the nights killing mosquitos or other insects that might sneak in. Either way we ended up seeing the sunrise without sleep tired angry and anxious. Breakfast is served in a dark miserable room and its cheap and basic and very boringly the same daily. The staff very polite and helpful but with an obvious apologetic expression on their faces when you complain showing that they know we are not the minority in expressing dissatisfaction. The owner, named Leandros as the hotel itself- who we were seeing running the place daily - is usually on the hiding when you look for him, rude and bossy. Claiming around to be the father-in-law of a famous greek basketball player of old times (named such and such...) as if trying to override you or as if this will change anything.. Furthermore, if you insist in your complaint he claims in a bossy manner 'not to insist' because...he is the 'president of the local rooms/ or/ hotels association’..! or something..! I couldn’t work out if this is meant to scare you off or just to get rid of your trying to claim what you are paying for. I really don't know why there are a few good reviews for this place and it does make me wonder...but our honest opinion to fellow holiday-seekers is to go find something else to stay in the, by all means, lovely area!
