Reviewed By dewey73737Very nice B&B! Clean and air conditioned B&B close to A3. Good value and good breakfast. Met the owner father and helped us find a good restaurant for dining. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Parking is free and adjacent to the hotel. Only negative is no elevator and had to carry bags up two flights of stairs. Owner's father helped carry bags.

Reviewed By xhesildokLucia was a fantastic host. She was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. She gave us some superb recommendations on where to eat, places to shop and sights to see. Even though she was very busy, she took the time to help us out on every occasion. We also enjoyed her very comfortable house, which is in the most convenient location. If you are in Frascineto, you must stay at Pieffe in the heart of the center.

Perfect overnighter
Reviewed By Julie CWe decided to stay at a more local town rather than a big city on our way down to Sicily. After arriving at 5pm with no booking we were able to get a spacious family room for two adults and two children. Our hosts were very welcoming and the included breakfast was lovely. Frascineto is a lovely village, local church is impressive. Would recommend!

L B&B Amarcord e un angolo di relax raffinato e confortevole posto al centro della piccola comunita arbereshe di Frascineto. La villa a piu piani, immersa nel verde di un magnifico giardino e il posto ideale per raggiungere facilmente il Parco Nazionale del Pollino, o le acque limpide del mare Jonio. La struttura e dotata di un'accogliente taverna per la colazione dove si puo ammirare l'esposizione di una ricca mostra di attrezzi della civilta contadina arbereshe. Al piano superiore un elegante salone e le stanze ampie e confortevoli dotate di aria condizionata, verande attrezzate e finestre aperte sul giardino. Il giardino e il fiore all'occhiello della villa, con i suoi viali, gli alberi da frutta i fiori, il gazebo, il barbecue. Amarcord e un'osai nell'oasi arbereshe di Frascineto.
Very welcoming and simple accommodation
Reviewed By MiticateTravelling south we needed to sleep out one night. Based on local people's recommendations we ended up here. We didn't know where to stop on the way so it was unplanned. Frascineto is a very small village in the middle Calabria with a strong arberian community. The host, Margherita, is very prepared on the local history and she even wrote a book. As usual here the top 3 strengths and weaknesses. 1p) Margherita is an absolute angel! She took care of us wonderfully. She welcomes you with a happy smile on her face and you can see how she plays full out for the B&b. The breakfast was amazing. Full of freshly cook biscuits and muffins. Fresh fruits from their garden (figs and plums). She reminds us of our grandmothers deliciousness. What we loved was a special drink (flavoured water) she makes with ginger, curcuma, honey. Original, fresh and excellent. 2p) the place is clean and the rooms good size 3p) the sweetest thing was a little "good morning" message that she puts on our breakfast plate. So sweet! 1w) no really downside. Maybe that it is not so accessible unless you ended up there by mistake. It should be more "visible" on the web or on local guides. 2w) it is difficult to find another downside. the decoration was not our favourite but really irrelevant to the service! 3w) I cannot think of one more! Well done Margerita! Hopefully see you again in the future!

Le stanze sono estremamente pulite e spaziose, l'arredamento è semplice ma accogliente. Ci siamo sentiti a casa. Assolutamente consigliato
