Hotel, Bar & Restaurant.
I stayed here for two nights in May. The room was sunny, clean and comfortable with a nice en-suite. Nicer than a premier inn. I stayed in room 9 which was a corner room facing the road and overlooking the water. Room 9 and the next door rooms are over the bar, it wasn’t massively noisy but I could hear the music playing until closing time. Breakfast was ok with a small buffet of cereals, yoghurts and juice filled by a good range of cooked items including pancakes and eggs Benedict. I had an evening meal which was fine, the portions are huge.

Family run little guest house since 1991. We are in the prime location of Barrow-in-Furness. Our breakfast menu have different choices including full English breakfast, Omelette, Porridge etc... Free WIFI through out the premise. Opposite to the beautiful Barrow park and next to the train station.
This is a quaint Guest House close to the train station and eateries as well as shopping. The owner, Ian, is very pleasant and accommodating . The rooms are clean with ample room for comfort. The beds are wonderful and cozy. The only draw back is the shared bathroom which services a group of four rooms. Not to my comfort level but many travellers would be ok with that. Very clean. Would recommend.

Our last minute 4 night stay here was lovely, the hosts were a huge help with any of our requests and went above and beyond. We felt very welcomed and really enjoyed our stay, not only was the bed itself extremely comfy but the daily full English was also a real treat. I would highly recommend this guest house. Thank you for having us!

Stayed and ate at The Townhouse Bar and Grill, couldn’t complain with either of the two (room or food). We chose to stay here as part of a couples trip to The Lakes. We did our research beforehand and was aware of the location so was only ever expecting to use it as hub to venture out to other parts of the Lake District. It actually pleasantly surprised us , despite being on a high street. If you’re staying here expecting rural Lake District then you will be in for quite a unpleasant surprise. However, if you take it for what it is, a lovely establishment, clean, spacious with more than what you need, you’ll be just fine.

My family stayed here for one night as a stop gap between a recent holiday break. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. Our room was a triple with a double bed for us and 2 singles in the other part, which meant it was ideal as our son is 15 and loved that he could have his own room with a door in between. The bed was very comfortable and there were biscuits, tea & coffee in both rooms. The bathroom had a great shower and the whole room was spotless & clean. The bar downstairs had a pool table and we were able to have a couple of drinks, play pool and relax after a hectic day of travelling. The breakfast was very tasty and all fresh ingredients. We were asked what we would like and we all opted for the full English. There is a menu on the table for other options. We had a great experience and will definitely be back next year. Well done to all the staff who made our stay very welcoming.
