Very nice place with atmosphere but "kolonada" is quite short. One day is more than enough to stay in Podebrady. You can taste special sweet call "oplatka", sit in some cafe but not so much to see around.

The castleis on the main square of Podebrady. It has some bars and cafés as well as a hostel. The bigger part of the castle belongs today to the Charles University of Prague. In the central part of the castle is a museum showing the history of George of Podebrady, as well as a collection of cast iron and artefacts found in the old castle. I spent there about an hour, found it interesteing.

You can find here various highly detailed figures, replicas, and statues of well known characters from a wide range movies we all love. Инфоцентр на главной площади Подебрад. Очень много листовок, буклетов и карт об окрестных музеях и достопримечательностях. Ещё попросила карту Праги, мне дали, но на немецком. Ерунда, конечно, но на русском языке никакой раздатки нет.

Стекольный завод Богемия - носитель богатых традиций чешского хрусталя. В магазине при заводе богатый выбор изделий и стекла и хрусталя. Многочисленные вазы, блюда, конфетницы, люстры и еще много чего другого раскупаются туристами со всего мира. Цены вполне приемлемы. Хорошее обслуживание, качественные товары и удобная, надежная упаковка делаю свое дело.

Небольшой музей с любопытными фотографиями о прошлом Подебрад и экспонатами об истории курорта. В небольшом зале собраны старинные предметы из жизни отдыхающих - велосипед, одежда и аксессуары, посуда. Когда я была в музее, там проходила небольшая выставка чешского стекла и фарфора 19го века, со столовыми и чайными сервизами разных заводов, с бокалами и стаканами. Интересно сравнить эстетику прошлого и настоящего, краски, сюжеты и формы посуды. Музей оставляет приятное впечатление любви и бережного отношения к родной истории.
