Nea Moudania (often referred to as Moudania, which is the name of the municipal unit the town belongs to) is the seat of the municipality of Nea Propontida, Chalkidiki, Greece and its main town. The town is located 60 km south of Thessaloniki and is considered to be the financial and commercial center of the regional unit of Chalkidiki. It was built after 1922 by Greek refugees from Anatolia who wanted to give the settlement the name of their hometown (now Mudanya, Turkey), hence the addition of the word nea, which means new in Greek. Nea Moudania hosts the Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture Technology [1] of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. The town also features a harbor which serves as Thessaloniki's adjuvant.

This was a brilliant day trip, organised in the travel agents of Afitos, they picked us up on time, and made a pleasant journey on a "double decker coach" to the boats in Pefkohori, there was plenty of room on board,and a good atmosphere, we sailed over to Sithonia, had some time at one of their beach resorts, for a swim and a wander round, then on up to Neo Marmaris, where we docked for 2 hours,giving us time to explore the lovely town, back on board we were given our lunch and drinks, we had the wine of course, then we sailed on again to " Turtle island" where we had another chance to swim from the boat in a deep lagoon below some cliffs, only accessible by boat, after that we made our way back,giving us time to catch up and reflect what a brilliant day we had, and all for only 35euros, tremendous value for money.

Brilliant set up. Very helpful, obliging and professional. Well organised and with the real plus point of Nitrox availability. The Diving was beyond what I expected. They need to organise a few more wrecks!! I have dived all over the world and would recommend this to anyone...

гуляли по городу, от церкви Святой Корифини к набережной. Увидели памятник, театр Муданьи и музеи. Музей рыболовства расположен рядом с этнографическим. Входной билет 2 евро и музей открыт с утра только до двух часов дня. Много экспонатов более современных 20 века, все то, что связывает человека и море. Старинное рыболовное оборудование, инфо о глубоководных существах, и даже костюм ныряльщика. есть библиотека.

Ταξίδεψα από Ρωμη στο αεροδρόμιο Θεσσαλονίκης και ζήτησα μεταφορά με ταξί στο Σανη Hotel στη Χαλκιδική. Η μεταφορά μου ήταν αψογη, ασφαλής και άκρως πολυτελης, με χαμηλό κοστος. Συστήνω αυτη την εταιρια ανεπιφυλακτα.
