Not as many flavours as expected. They could fit more in by moving the drinks cabinet. All single cones were $5 each. We had, chocolate, dark chocolate sorbet, french vanilla and peppermint with choc chips. All good. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Red Bluff cliffs were where my mother grew up and she often spoke about walking them to get to the Surf Life Saving Club. It has obviously changed over the years but the cliff face remains. I love to walk the beach as well as the path along the cliff.

Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay is a fairly boring stretch of water with hardly any Islands to break the monotony.
Black Rock beach is however one of the more pleasant Beaches.
On a sunny and warmish (not hot) summer Sunday, the water was clean and the waves not too great to wreck swimming. Sand was clean as far as I could tell, and only about 100 people were on the beach near the clock tower.
There is a pleasant grassed area at the top with some Seating, a minority of which is in shade, a children's play area and clean white painted toilets.
It was great to see many native plants on the dunes such as the lovely Poa sp. grasses.
Many shops are opposite including cafes, a fish and chip shop and two small supermarkets of which Thomas Dux up the road is the better.
The 600, 922 and 923 buses connect with trains at Sandringham railway station.
Having been recently spoilt by the beautiful white sand Beaches of Philippines, Black Rock in Melbourne doesn't quite compare. But it's pleasant enough.

This is an icon in Black Rock. And you can't miss it if you're driving around the bay road. it's a lovely drive. It's not worth stopping though. And it's awkward to park near it.
