Entree. Chilli squid - Charcoal prawns. Both excellent.
Mains. Lobster mornay excellent. - Surf and turf. All excellent except steak. A nice piece of steak served almost raw. Menu says "medium" still blue in the middle. Rare at the most.
Desert. Fig with icecream- excellent.
Wine list is limited. Suggest bring your own, if you want a particular wine.
Overall a very good place to dine.

Cerberus Beach House

Award-winning beachfront restaurant upstairs serving locally sourced modern Australian seafood cuisine with Asian influence an unique wine list, warm Bayside welcome, and stunning 180 degree views over Half Moon Bay. Alternatively visit our take away kiosk downstairs and enjoy traditional fish & chips right on the beach.

A good place to get food, drinks(no alcohol onthe beach) and snacks. There's a downstairs kiosk which serves the beach front crowd and also an upstairs sit down much posher restaurant(serves alcohol).
We had our grub from the kiosk - lovely grilled salmon, smashing crispy barramundi fish & chips, and a lovely fresh Greek salad. We also ordered a serve of calamari which wasn't as good as our other meals - pity; we found the batter around the calamari greasy and undercooked.
But hats off to Cerberus - overall we had a very good lunch, and at fair prices.

BYO Tick, Value Tick, Food mmmmm sort of a Tick.
Kids were after a basic food night without breaking the bank.........dad says "why, are you paying the bill?"........response is a chorus of Naahhhhs!
Not to worry, we dine for a grand total of $109. We are 5 adults, some young and a couple of older ones............but enough about us, it's about Rumah Aneka!
As said, the prices are not going to send anyone broke ($20 being the most expensive menu item) and of course the benefit of BYO will save plenty.
The food, if one stays with the basics (home made dimmies, spring rolls, soups etc) is pretty good, tasty and as spicy as required.
The seafood dishes were all pretty good, but some of the meat curries were a little tough. The specials we ordered were all tender and tasty, so you could stick with the specials board fare and be well rewarded.
Pretty basic setup, but a great place for a "cheapo" family night (otherwise known as an "away game argument" for our lot, I mean ...... we all need a change of scenery to encourage new banter).
More good news...........a new grog shop has opened up just a few doors to the east.

Cafeteria

I know, the name is incredibly basic, but the food is good. It is listed on Urban Spoon website and in the Australia Good Food Guide (AGFG) which is a very popular foody magazine. Black Rock is a southern suburb of Melbourne.

A simple family run cafe. Coffee was good but the food was nothing special. Ordered poached eggs on toast which was served next too super thick, small triangles of toast - not enough surface safe to put the egg on so I ended up eating my super runny eggs solo. Next time I'm in Black Rock I'm going to head across the road to the patisserie for a salmon bagel which was $10 compared to $18 on the Cafeteria menu and which looked totally charming.

We enjoyed our visit here a year ago so thought we should visit the Restaurant again, we were not disappointed the Service was excellent and the Sharing Dishes very good. Try the Spinach Starter, wonderful. We went for the Baramundy Fish and Steak that I had on Lentils quite superb and finished with a Coconut Cake and Coconut Parfait. The choice of wines excellent, the Pinot Noir excellent.

So the Cafe recently underwent a managment change we've just learnt and has also had some major cosmetic work done inside. Most importantly every aspect of the food and drink is really really good. With the coming months to add even more at this point we had a great selection of crossiants, cakes, rolls, wraps and baguettes to choose from. Highlights were the almond crossiant, the chocolate brownie and the coffee, bonus points for having a little biscuit with every coffee or tea!

This is a well established restaurant in Hampton. It has a good varied menu and food is tasty. Most types of food are accommodated and the range of drinks will meet most tastes. Service is good and staff are friendly. Other than Sunday morning booking is not necessary. Great place to meet with family or friends and children are welcome and catered for. You can go to this restaurant on not be worried about everyone being satisfied. A good all rounder.

Visited for a birthday dinner upon recommendations of friends. Bentwood chairs quaint but very uncomfortable. My sister and I both had the Fish on the Beach which was tasty and quite spicy with chilli throughout the dressing and on the fish. My father had the special ‘Honey Soy Ribs’ which he found a little sweet but very tasty. We were disappointed that there was only one panacotta available for dessert by the time we ordered but the restaurant is small so order early if you want to ensure you get what you want. Moderately priced restaurant but quality food that seemed fresh and well presented.

This has become our new 'go to' restaurant. It's warm and inviting. Staff are welcoming and the food never disappoints. You can share almost everything on the menu, so great for anyone like me who wants everything on the menu. There's always a small specials board with interesting options and the wine list has some lovely options by the glass.

The Parlor Milkbar & Kitchen

Reviewed By CheltenhamVIC - Melbourne, Australia

The Parlor is tucked away amongst the golf courses along Weatherall Road. It's a nicely renovated building that is bright and airy inside. In winter there's an open fire.
It has a huge all-day breakfast menu, basic lunch items from 12 and I think there were some dinner items. The meals are mid-sized and delicious. Plenty of drinks on offer. A note on the menu ask diners not to customise meals when they're busy.
Service is very good.
In good weather there's a small deck out the front.
We enjoyed our quick lunch for four.
