Fox & Hounds - Fleet

First time I've been here - invited by a friend to see a rock band that was playing on a Friday evening. Busy pub, friendly staff and the food was really good. My friend said her fish and chips were the best she'd ever had! The band was great, although could have played more songs everyone knew, but enjoyed it anyway.

The surrounding land features heathland, woodland, reedbed and marsh, and is home for many species of birds, butterflies, dragonflies and wild flowers. The Fleet Pond Restoration Project is run in partnership between Hart District Council, Fleet Pond Society, Natural England and the Environment Agency. To help restore Fleet Pond Nature Reserve to a healthier and more valuable amenity for wildlife and people. The sites main car park is situated just off of Cove Road (A3012) it is FREE to park here. There is a height restriction of 2.1m. Fleet Train Station car park can also be used and has quick access to the site. However this is charged Monday-Saturday. Whether you want to walk the dog or just get away from the rat race, Fleet Pond gives you a complete reconnection with Nature with woodland, heathland, wetland and the pond itself. A truly beautiful and tranquil nature reserve in the midst or urban chaos. If you want to go further, Fleet Pond has a fantastic group of volunteers who get together to help manage and nurture the reserve while having fun, meeting new friends and learning new skills. Do grab a picnic (and binoculars) and treat yourself to a beautiful, natural, free experience.

Active Monkeys Play Centre

This is a great party venue for young children - lots of chance to let off steam in the play area to start, then upstairs to eat and a themed bubble disco. Food and drink were provided for adults, while the children played on the soft play, then sit down food was provided for children when they went upstairs to the party room. A lovely cake, party bags and balloons were all provided. Staff at the venue definitely worked as hard as possible to give the best possible service. Really very good!

Scott Mills Bridge

Reviewed By toucan29 - Colchester, United Kingdom

We had a rare child-free weekend and stayed in a hotel in Fleet as part of a well overdue 40th birthday present for my husband. Can you imagine my glee when I realised we were literally on the doorstep of the Scott Mills Bridge?! I added a visit to my weekend itinerary and was not disappointed. I was proud to walk the steps up to and the length of the bridge of my favourite radio DJ. A well deserved commemoration of Scott's success. Look out for the plaque opposite McDonald's. LOVE YOU BYE

Bramshot Farm Country Park

Reviewed By lornadrury - Farnborough, United Kingdom

I take my dog here for a walk. Other dog owners are friendly and the flat ground makes a nice change from the hills I usually do. Can be a bit muddy and squelchy but they try hard to lay down planks and bark to compensate for this.
