Although we have been on the Lacaster Canal a few times before, this was our first time with Crabtree Narrowboats (and wont be our last-unless we get our own boat). Right from the first phone call, nothing was to much trouble, Mandy and Robert are really lovely people and very passionate about their business. They are very professional and their instruction and handover was excellent, they instilled every confidence that should anything go wrong (which it didnt), it would be sorted straight away. The Narrow boat (Willow) was lovely and very clean, it had eveything we needed and was good to handle. All in all we have a lovely week away from the humdrum of life, very relaxing and met some fantastic people along the way and made new friends. would recommend Crabtree Narrowboats to anyone considering this type of holiday.

This is one of Lancashire's little gems and a really great cycle route. Whilst well established and much improved, it remains a really great cycle "tool". It is peppered with lots of interest, including nature reserves, pubs (some just off the route), cafes and parks. On show is some of the best and worst of Preston but a well labelled fun route. Suitable for almost any cyclist with some small, short hills (small dismount and push). Try it today.

A delightful place. We particularly loved the Arctic Fox, Otters, Hairy backed armadillo and Capybara who all entertained us marvellously with their antics. The tamarins and dwarf mongoose were also beautiful. The bat house is extremely exciting if you dare go in! The Dik diks were gorgeous. We just wish the bearcats had a bigger house and we couldn't see their faces.
