You're recived in this museum with the option to buy a ticket that includes the visit to the theather too, wich is lovely. There are volunteers that guide you trought the museum, I personally think that without the volunteers, the experience wouldn't be the same. If you can speak japanese, don't loose the oportunity to visit this museum and listen to the stories of the volunteers, who are very kind and will always make you feel at home in Yamaga. The museum is about the art of toro (the stone lanterns you see everywhere in Japan), but in this town, they make the lanterns with paper and put them in their heads to dance at the local festival. Very interesting and heart warming experience.
