Very good hotel
Reviewed By KYtravellsThis is the second time we have stayed here, and we will definitely return one day. The hotel is clean and has the necessities, and is very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is good with a few options mainly Asian. The location is convenient close to the rice fields and a few minutes to walk into town. There are room options with different sizes and views. We had a view over the alley way which was cute, but the view over the stream and the rice paddies is amazing for a higher price.

Reviewed By agoh69The only set back of the hotel is the toilet has not heating floor especially during the winter time, you almost can’t use the toilet due to freezing floor. This hote is located inside the town with close location to visit the Dong villages. The bed is Super comfy and the room is warm enough . We have family of 5 and given a 3 big beds room which is really huge! There’s no lift on this hotel and prepare to carry the luggage to level 2 or 3! There’s now assess from outside transport to this hotel. You have to roll your luggages all the way from carpark to the hotel. Beautiful hotel and breakfast is simple local noodle or porridge breakfast with some local steam buns . Coffee comes in 3 in 1 packet!

Reviewed By John HThis is a beautiful new grand hotel with excellent facilities near a new Dong cultural park. I would recommend it to anyone. U. S. Vice President Biden stayed there recently. Only drawback the breakfast had no international fare.

Bad service
Reviewed By linglingvictoriaBedrooms are comfortable and restaurant food is good but the hotel has almost no service and doesn’t seem to bother at all. They didn’t tell us you need 30mn to get to the hotel from the entrance of the village (outside cars are not allowed to enter the village): we had to take 2 buses, walk 20mn with our luggages to get there. Villagers cars are allowed in the village but the village didn’t provide any help at all with luggages on our way in and out of the village. On our way out they said they would help but only brought the luggage to one of the minibus stations. We wasted 1h of our time trying to sort out this luggage situation. Laundry is incredibly expensive. We asked the hotel to help do our laundry as we were spending 2 nights there: we paid 10 rmb per piece of clothes (even for socks!) to get partly wet, unfold clothes 5mn before checkout. I don’t know what the other hotels in the village are like, but considering we paid 460 RMB for a room per night the service could have been better.

Only of only two options for foreigners in town
Reviewed By John HI was totally okay with hotel. Liping is a wonderful historical city and for under 200 RMB this was a good option. I have stayed at the other hotel in town that accepts foreign passports and it is much nicer, but double the price also.
