The sea is a lot more choppy when you break cover from Dalkey Island. However well worth the trip and we saw a shoal of dolphins as well. Brilliant!

I've been here many times, but this time it was just beautiful. A perfect sunrise and calm waters with gorgeous reflections. The walk itself is great, breathing in the fresh sea air and the lighthouse itself is lovely. It's well maintained and nice paintings on the wall. Lots of wildlife around too, such as Cormorants, herons, gulls and seals.

The best view of the Baily Lighthouse is from Howth Summit looking down at it. Yesterday the visibility was fabulous in fact it was the best ever. If you stop at the Summit you can walk down to the Lighthouse.

This is a really interesting Light House in that its at the end of the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire so you can walk down and see it close up. Fantastic old building and a great place to take photos with the back-drop of the sea or towards Dun Laoghaire and the Dublin Mountains. Recommended.
