Our family run hotel is a nature lover's paradise. Situated within the Portobelo national park and less than 500 metres from the sea, it is the perfect location to explore the coral reefs, mangroves and jungles that are part of this amazing protected reserve. Our cabanas are clean and comfortable and are the perfect base for you to explore the surrounding areas. Catch a water taxi to Isla Grande directly from Puerto Lindo which is less than 5 minutes walk away. The historical towns of Nombre del Dios and Portobelo are both about 20 minutes away. You can also explore our local beautiful nature walks, horse ride, dive, kayak, surf or snorkel. Considered experts in organising crossings to and from Colombia and the San Blas Islands, we can assist in making your bookings with the most reputable captains.
Aggressive dogs will greet you before the owner
Reviewed By TheHostelMomThe hostel was easily accessible by local transportation. When I arrived, I was greeted by 4 aggressive dogs. They "got out" of an unlocked area and charged at me. One jumped up and scratched me. The owner came running out and trying to calm them down by screaming in German at them. I was shaken up and didn't know what to do. She apologized and mentioned they don't do this often, but reading the reviews, the dogs aren't properly trained to not jump and bark at guests. There was a charge for the internet but mine was waived as a consolation for the traumatic greeting by the dogs. My stay was peaceful and comfortable, but I could not shake the feeling that the dogs were going to get out and attack me

Reviewed By rnaik10We stayed here for one night. The location is great. The ocean is very calm specifically at this location due to a big reef. This makes it a little rocky, but it’s about 100 feet of ocean with waist to shoulder level water. Great for kids. It very laid back, get disconnected from the world. I didn’t miss the WiFi; it actually helped my family get acquainted once again :) The place is clean however not the most up to date. We loved it. If you are expecting a Marriott or Hyatt, then don’t go here. If you are looking for a good, no frills experience close to nature, you won’t be disappointed
