We rented two Honda 250cc from Xavier/ b'trial over Christmas. The bikes are perfect for the off-roading around Pakse and the Bolavens plateau. Xavier gave great tipps for the tour & amazing support during the trip where needed. The overall renting process was more then easy! Helmets and gloves available as well.

One of the highlights of your visit to Luang Prabang could be visiting Sao Sinh, renting beautiful & traditional Lao ethnic wear, getting dressed and walking around town. My friends & I did just that, explored this beautiful UNESCO heritage town in the traditional wear. We went to a nearby famous temple Wat Sene and took some fantastic pictures. We walked around town, had lunch and explored this mesmerizing town with this absolutely magnificent attire. We turned quite a few heads, i am not gonna lie. Local people on the street complimented us and took pictures of us. My social media is still buzzing over the pictures that we took. I would highly recommend this to everyone, it's a fairly unique experience. You might have done a similar activity in another country but for most places you can only take pictures within the premises but here you are free to wander the town with a half day or full day package. There is a wide collection of outfits to choose from & they are all exquisite, the staff is extremely courteous & friendly, and that's not even the best part, during the covid19 period, they are offering a 50% discount, talk about value for money. Great job Sao Sinh & thank you for the memories. Cheers!

My wife and I recently rented a scooter from Miss Noy's for 3 days to visit the Bolaven plateau. Excellent service from Yves started months before with fast responses to the reservation and follow up questions. The information session provided by Yves the night before was both very informative and funny. We were given their new pink Mickey Mouse scooter, which resulted in more humorous interactions with the local Lao people over the 3 day trip. The bike worked fine with no hassles whatsoever. Upon our return Yves booked our onward tuk tuk transportation to our hotel in the next town. I thought I paid Yves for just the scooter rental. Upon arrival at our destination I paid our tuk tuk driver. That night Yves tracked us down at our hotel and said we had already paid him for tuk tuk so we had paid twice. He asked our hotel to give us the overpayment back and he would compensate them when they were in Pakse next. Now that's an honest business man and another reason why you should trust your motorbike rental to Miss Noy's. Merci beaucoup Yves.

Mixay Motorbike Rental

There are plenty of motorbike rental shops in Thakhek but Mixay seems to be the best one. The motorbikes are in good conditions, the price is 100 000 Kip / day (standard price) and the owner is really helpful and patient (just the opposite of Mad Monkey, another rental shop in Thakhek).

Mad Monkey Motorbike

We rented a scooter for several trips to the surrounding area of Thakhek and were extremely happy with the service and the information we received. The bikes are a bit more expensive than in other bike rental shops, but we think it is the money worth, as the bikes are well maintained and in an excellent condition. We can highly recommend Mad Monkey Motorbike.
