Herdade do Freixo do Meio

Visit our agroecology farm and find out how we produce our organic fruits, vegetables, artisanal bread, eggs, cereals, juices, vinegars, wine, olive oil, aromatic herbs, acorn products and meats, specially black pork. Meet our food products made from indigenous species you can discover, with your friends or family, in a electric car ride or in a pedestrian/bicycle in the Montado route (ancient cork oak woodland). Our micro-factories await you with the smell of fresh sourdough bread in the bakery, great tastes in the meat and vegetable processing units. We also offer a few how-to workshops (around cork, local breads, traditional portuguese stew, alentejo black pigs sausages) and farm activities you can participate (collecting eggs, animal care and seasonal harvests). Taste slow-food, locally-grown and countryside leisure in our Monte Alentejano! Overnight in Casa da Professora and Casa da Augusta with organic and homemade breakfast (half or full-board).
