The Owen Theatre

Since moving to the Conroe area we have gone to 2 productions at The Owens Theatre. Great intimate theatre with good seating. I don't think you can have a bad seat to view the stage. We have enjoyed the productions and look forward to seeing more. It's great to support the local arts too, and we are lucky to have this so close to home.

This theater is close and does not disappoint. Local talent, fun, quality shows. Sure have missed it due to covid. Their renovations are awesome. Not a bad seat in the house. If you have never gone to a show here, GO! If you have not been back due to covid, GO. They take safe precautions and I appreciate that. This is a very affordable theater with great entertainment for the whole family.

Southern Star Brewing

I really love the Southern Star beers, and their tasting room is a great place to go for fun and a good beer. They also have food trucks that come in. There are plenty of large tables where we play games in inclement weather, and there's a nice picnic area outside where you can sit in nice weather. They don't sell beer, they sell tokens. You buy tokens at the token bar and trade a token for a beer at the beer bar. If you buy three tokens, you get your very own Southern Star glass. They also have t-shirts and other souvenirs. There also give fun and educational tours of the brewery on Saturday, usually at 2 and 4 (but you may have to ask at the bar to get the ball rolling...so don't be bashful). And I got a nice stout for free as part of the tour... It's a great date or just a way to while away the hours.

Pegasus, the vintage flying red horse, once was a staple in the 1930's on top of the Mobil gas station on US 75. He now resides at the heritage museum along the interstate for all to still see. History preserved! Along with Pegasus, you can experience other historical items from the oil and local area. It is an amazing little stop off with parking and easy access to/from the interstate. Family friendly and immaculately kept grounds.

Love this place! Great beer with beautiful outdoor grounds! Get back to nature with one of their amazing beer creations! If you are hungry check out the food trucks that are setup on the grounds! Add a super nice staff and I bet you will not want to leave. Getting back to the beers, I can honestly say I have not been disappointed with any of them. I will be bringing my family for a visit over Thanksgiving.

We're located in Conroe Texas, near the Woodlands. Come play in a 7 1/2 acre old-fashioned Family Fun Park! Visit the petting zoo, mini golf course, western play town, huge playground, gigantic sandbox, zip line, horseshoes and much more. Healthy family fun that kids love!

Such a sweet place! Stopped here once with our kids years ago on a road trip. Remembered it being perfect for young kids. So glad we made it back! It did not disappoint. We all enjoyed feeding the animals and the petting zoo. Played tether ball, mini golf, puppet show, kids rode the mini “zip line” swing over and over, several nice little playgrounds and plenty of room to just goof around. Clean restrooms. Really well priced. Fun family activity. Sign says no outside food or drink allowed but they have food and drinks for sale.
