Bexhill-on-Sea (often simply Bexhill) is a seaside town situated in the county of East Sussex in South East England. An ancient town and part of the local-government district of Rother, Bexhill is home to a number of archaeological sites, a Manor House in the Old Town, an abundance of Edwardian and Victorian architecture, and the famous De La Warr Pavilion: today a centre for contemporary art – which has featured the work of Andy Warhol, Cerith Wyn Evans and Richard Wilson amongst others – and an auditorium, where Bob Marley had his first UK appearance and has since seen performances by Elvis Costello, Goldfrapp, Ray Davies, Years and Years, Pati Smith and Lauri Anderson.

Beautiful sea front and pebbled beach with sand further out great for sun bathers and swimmers alike. Sea is blue and still, lovely for children and adults even dog friendly too. Don’t be put off it’s soooo clean and well maintained. A big bonus is it’s sea front parking a long way of FREE parking! We have visited most of the south coast in our motorhome and there has been little to no free parking with car park barriers Not allowing us in. Most unfair. This place is a little Gem forget Hastings it’s not a patch on this lovely place it has everything and just enough shops if you can drag yourself away from it’s wonderful sea front LOVE IT.

This is a really cool little museum,located in the heart of Bexhill-on-sea. The museum is a reaì variation of exhibitions including:a natural history section,a really cool motoring section,an Edwardian costumes section and a Second World War section.Really liked the colourful,historic wartime posters.The museum is only a tiny £3 entry fee and is definitely value for money.

Egerton Park is a lovely park close to the seafront, there is a boating lake, an excellent play area for older children as well as a safe, fenced in area for small children. Very pleasant park to walk around and to take the dog (on a lead) good way to spend a couple of hours

Immaculately kept gardens in the heart of Bexhill Old Town with lovely walkways, so many flowers and flowering shrubs spanning several seasons, a rose garden, a beautifully tended pond, the ruins of an historical house and tall, tall trees under which to spread a picnic blanket. There's a tiny little outdoor terraced playhouse - yes really! - with its original tiled roof still intact. And an old fashioned sunken well right between the community hall and the old barn (which is now a banqueting hall for hire). There's a gated quiet area called the Prayer Gardens and several dedication plaques in front of memorial plants and on over a dozen benches arranged around the gardens specifically to take in the beautiful views. I love these beautifully manicured, ingeniously designed gardens. I'm sure I must have left out some of it's marvellous sights; there's just so much to see, so much beauty to enjoy. Go buy yourself a cuppa at the tea rooms or the coffee house across the road or bring your flask with you and come and enjoy the tranquility of the Manor Barn's gardens. You. Will. Love it.

We are a Grade One Listed 1930s modernist building on the sea front in Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, recently refurbished as a centre for the arts. When you walk in, you will find Gallery 1, a large gallery, on the ground floor. The current exhibition is Willem Sandberg: from type to image which opened on 30 April and continues until 4 September. On the ground floor you will also find the Box Office and Information Desk where tickets can be booked for any of our live events. There is also a shop where you can buy books, prints, cards and gifts. We have a large, 1930s auditorium where we present contemporary music, comedy, cinema and other live events. We also have a busy programme of courses, workshops and activities for all ages. Upstairs is Gallery 2, which reopens on Saturday 18 June with The People's Pavilion: Our First 80 Years and continues until Sunday 31 June. Our popular Café Bar & Kitchen can also be found on the second floor and serves delicious warming lunches, tasty salads and freshly - prepared soups and sandwiches to enjoy using locally-sourced ingredients. Our generously - sized home-made cakes, scones and cookies are too tempting to resist and are perfect when served with a delicious Illy Coffee and Fair Trade teas -perfect after a walk along the seafront on a cold winter's day. There is a children's lunch menu for those who want to treat the family. We also serve bar food before evening shows and offer a breakfast menu at weekends. There is a changing display of installations in the rooftop foyer. Doing Looking Working Performing (DLWP) opens Saturday 18 June in parallel to exhibition in Gallery 2. Starting with an eight hour improvised installation using sound and objects by two artists. The resulting installation will be open until 31 July. If the weather is good, you can step out on to the roof to enjoy the best views of the English Channel, all the way to Beachy Head. There is a large Rother District car park (free after 8pm) and free parking along the seafront. The Pavilion is less than 10 minutes walk from the station.

Had a wonderful coffee and cake, it was beautiful watching the sea whilst enjoying a lovely cappuccino and a slice of cake, we popped in to escape the bad weather whilst taking a stroll and we weren’t disappointed. All social distancing adhered too and the staff were very nice.
