A nice hotel in a good area of Weybridge with restaurants and bars in easy reach

The hotel is well appointed and has the look of a grand hotel as you approach the building as I was staying two nights with my wife for a wedding we had a number of pieces of luggage including suit carriers, hold-alls etc I pulled up outside the door to get a trolley came into the reception to ask a security guard for help. He grunted something??? I helped myself to the trolley loaded up the trolley, whilst my wife got keys for the bedroom. Our room was 4116 a room that is larger than many in the hotel and has well appointed amenities including a bathroom with stand-alone bath, nice large shower, etc the main room had a good size bed and there was room for a pleasant seating area but it would be useful to have a swivel mechanism on this TV so it can be seen from the seating area and the bed. I had work that I needed to complete unfortunately an event was taking place ( wedding) and the music etc never finished until past midnight with the view from the room overlooking the car park you had many revved engines as people departed. On the second night the wedding that I had come with my wife to attend was taking place- as a reception venue I would recommend. I would however caution anyone who values a good night sleep from taking tenure of room 4116.

Disappointed with the 'upgraded' room and the service

Reviewed By StevieGxxx

I stayed here for business a couple of times, I chose it because it has plenty of parking available which is convenient. On my most recent stay I decided to pay £30 extra for the Club room, not really sure why but I treated myself (to robe, slippers and a newspaper extra). However when I checked in and went to my room there were none of these things, it actually looked the same as the room I'd previously been in. I called reception to check if I'd been given the right room and I was told that I was - and that there should be a robe (there wasn't) and that they haven't done newspapers for a long time. So for my £30 extra I got a small bottle of cheap mineral water. I tried to contact management - but you get directed to a 'chat' messaging service - so I asked for the difference in room price to be refunded, no response. At checkout there was no one at reception so as I'd pre-paid I just left rather than wait around. Apart from this the room was dated, not particularly clean and not worth the price paid.

Pictures don’t do it justice.

Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel. I believe they said there are only 11 rooms. Spacious and bright, 2 min walk from train station in a forest like cul-de-sac. Clean and quiet + very comfortable bed. The pub closes at 10 or 11 then everything becomes quiet. Bathroom was spacious, good water pressure and shower products. Could hear people in the hallway, but this wasn’t an issue. Friendly staff. The premises looks much better than pictures can capture.

Good Hotel with good location for Brooklands visit

Reviewed By Blair D

The Hotel was friendly and newly refurbished. The cookd breakfast was fine, but they really need a continental option too. During breakfast on our last day, at the next table there was a meeting taking place between the hotel manager and an auditor...they were carrying out a full H&S Risk audit !! The communication was too loud and we could not help hearing the details...The 2 parties were back and forth to get paperwork all the time and the meeting seemed very unprofessional to us. Meetings in restaurants are OK, but not private stuff like H&S Audits and Risk Assessments - the hotel may not have an office, but there was plenty of other free areas in the restaurant where they could have had privacy. We felt most awkward and probably should have complained at the time, but it did not feel right to interrupt an important meeting like that.

Book via Groupon!

Reviewed By 2015Lil

We recently stayed here 3 nights. Firstly I will say that the hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are great. The staff are also friendly. Hence I've given 4 stars. In addition, we dined at the hotel all 3 nights and the food was excellent albeit quite dear (there also aren't other restaurants nearby). However, there were a couple of issues. I had booked direct with the hotel and suspect I paid more as a result. I also paid full price to upgrade to a track view. I have since been advised by someone who lives nearby that bookings via Groupon are much better value. Also, the air conditioning didn't work in our room although we didn't bring this to anyone's attention as it wasn't that hot and we didn't want the hassle. However, as it was, we ended up moving rooms for the last night anyway. It was slightly annoying as I had requested a higher floor away from noisy areas. We were unfortunately given a 1st floor room above a function room and on the penultimate day the manager rang us while out (which was anxiety provoking in itself) and explained there would be noise that evening and offered us an upgraded room. So although we did have a bigger (family) room that last night we had to move all our stuff to it which was a nuisance and we have had no reduction in the large amount I paid for the 3 nights. In summary, I would recommend the hotel but to pay less through Groupon if possible!
